As we were playing, I kept an eye on the princess. Seeing her look at one point, she smiled and said, "Papa."
"Oh yes, princess," I said. Hearing me, she said, "play."
Hearing her, I looked at her, and as she came closer, I said, "Sorry, we can't play like we always have. Daddy's arm is in pain. Can we play in two weeks?"
"Emily, do you remember what Mommy told you yesterday about playing with Daddy?" Megan said. Hearing her words, Emily looked at Megan and said, "Papa hurt."
"Yes, princess. Daddy hurt his arm. He cannot move you up or play on a plane like before. We need to have the doctor's approval for this," Megan said.
"Approval" Emily said. As she probably has not heard these words, I said, "The doctor needs to agree that Daddy's hand is good so he can play. Approval agrees"
