"I see, system restriction!" Urie nodded in agreement as he took out the Baragon Beast and Arie called out to Bigu.
Blue Liquor took out a beast that looks like a jellyfish but the difference was, its tentacles were of a seaweed.
Urie looked at its interface and saw that it was a Bubbleweed.
The three beasts were perfectly synchronized with each other. As Bigu keeps on throwing and cutting the ores behind Baragon, Bubbleweed will shoot some vines towards the Guardians, rendering them immobile.
Baragon will keep on chomping some pieces of ice beneath the ground. Urie was quite confused about Baragon's behavior. Then he realized some walls were destroyed during the fight.
The broken pieces comprise regular stones and shiny crystals that have the same color as the ice but with a much brighter luster.
"Ice Crystals! No wonder he can eat those!" Urie exclaimed as the two kept on destroying the Guardians, while Baragon kept on replenishing its ore deposits behind it.
After defeating the 6th Guardian, there's an odd change that can be seen on Baragon. Unlike its original appearance having different colored lodes and ores behind it, there was nothing that can be seen behind it other than white crystals and a creeping white thing from the place where the crystals were concentrated outwards as if it was slowly devouring Baragon.
"What's happening with Baragon? Why is that happening to it?" Urie asked as the 7th Guardian Fell and some crystals engraved on it were eaten by Baragon.
"I think I know that! A mutation!" Blue Liquor exclaimed, as a sparkle can be seen in his eyes.
"A mutation? I've heard about it only from the tutorials!" Urie shrugged as they avoided some of the stray debris caused by either a shattered icicle or a broken stone guardian part.
"It's another form of evolution, but instead of having higher and stronger power, it will unlock another variant of the beast without changing its Original Classes!" Blue Liquor explained while focusing on the battle to avoid the debris.
"Oh right! You're a mutater so you must know something about it!" Arie exclaimed.
"Yes, remember Steambud? That's the beast that I've mutated first! It was originally a Dewbud, but when it mutated, I named it Steambud!" Blue Liquor replied.
"How d'you mutate the Dewbud? Then you can rename a beast? I thought we couldn't?" Urie asked.
"Originally, we can't rename a beast, but mutated ones are the exceptions! We can name them how we want!" Blue Liquor replied as he dodged the falling 13th Guardian.
Baragon kept on eating the ice crystals on the ground as white colored blanket completely covered Baragon, looking like a gigantic fluffy beast.
[System]
[Baragon has successfully adapted to the environment and has mutated into Baragon [Alpine Form]! You have the option to rename the beast.]
"Hmm… What name could be the most suited name for it?" Urie thought as an idea suddenly struck him. "Alpagon! I want to name it, Alpagon!" Urie smiled as the beast suddenly shot an enormous wave of mist that froze the 5 remaining Guardians and disintegrated into dust.
[System]
[Alpagon learned (Frozen Wave)!]
"The benefits of mutating a beast! You can learn the Class that the beast didn't have in the first place!" Blue Liquor commented when he read the interface of the notification.
"So technically, Alpagon has the immunity of three Classes now?" Urie asked but Blue Liquor only shook his head.
"Alpagon still has the same immunity of the original classes, the only thing that Mutated Beasts has is the additional Class offensive or defensive skill. An additional variation!" Blue Liquor explained and walked towards Alpagon.
"Quite a magnificent beast!" Blue Liquor commended as he looked at the beast and rode it.
"Why are you riding my beast?" Urie asked but Blue Liquor only reached for his hand to help the two get up on the beast.
"Observe it! It likes a comfortable temperature because it's metallic shell was now covered with a furry blanket to survive the cold and added with our body heat, it really likes it, also, the other beasts like the warmth!" Blue Liquor smiled at them as Alpagon moved towards the door in the distance and Bubbleweed picked up the key on their way.
As they slowly approached the doorway, a blue orb floated in front of them as it had dot-like eyes and lips forming a smile.
"The Aqrit! That's the beast that I need to capture!" Blue Liquor immediately jumped down from Alpagon's back and went to chase the beast.
"Is that really a beast, or a spirit?" Arie asked in confusion as he looked at his brother, who answered him with a shrug.
The two proceed towards the enormous white door with a fancy aquamarine frame and designs as Bubbleweed, who was left by its owner, handed the key towards Urie.
Urie fit the key but before he could turn the key to open the door, a man came towards them, running and catching his breath while he looked at them sadly.
"Have you caught it? Wait! Let me guess, based on your expression, it escaped from your grasp, right?" Arie mocked as he smiled at the man smugly.
The man only lowered his head and was about to click the [Abandon Quest] button when Urie twisted the key and the door made a loud creaking sound that stopped him from pressing it.
From inside, a spacious chamber welcomed them where water constantly flows from the walls looking like dozens of waterfalls. Crashing sounds of water endlessly echoed around the chamber, making a gentle tune with it that feels so calming and peaceful.
At the center of the chamber, a pedestal was lying and a brilliant white crystal, the size of a fist, could be seen and it was surrounded by floating orbs that looked the same as the one Blue Liquor chased before.
"Good thing that I haven't abandoned the quest yet!" Blue Liquor gladly said as he slowly crept near the Aqrit who was crowding around the Crystal.
"They are dormant spirits that have a beast core. You don't need to do anything and just capture them!" Urie called out of nowhere.
"How did you know? Have you captured one before?" Blue Liquor asked, which was answered by the latter with a shake of his head.
