As soon as the young man snapped out of his daze, he looked at his younger brother and smiled. "It's okay! I'm fine! I just found out something after the recent glitch!"
"What is it, brother?" Arie asked as he looked at his big brother.
"There's a chance that I can return to the real world!" he smiled towards his younger brother and patted his shoulder, asking, "So? What did you lose in your battle?"
The young man was glad that his brother found some clues about how to return to the real world. He was excited, but his defeat overwhelmed him as he looked at his big brother with teary eyes.
"I lost the three cards that I used to battle with them!" he asked with teary eyes as he showed his brother his compendium lacking the Hanin, Bigu, and Phansy cards.
"The consequence of losing a battle, eh? How about I give you these?" Urie asked as he looked at his younger brother and showed him the three lost cards.
"Are these my–?" Arie swallowed his words as he looked at the cards and felt a unique sense of connection with them.
"I'll give these to you in addition to your cards!" Urie smiled as he took out another set of cards, which were the duplicates of the overall winnings that he had.
"But I can't accept those!" Arie sadly looked at the cards as if he really wanted to have those.
"Why? You think it bothers me to give away these cards just because they are my trophies? Treat this as my way of sharing my winnings to you. Besides, they are duplicates! See?" Urie showed his compendium to his brother, showing the places that were occupied by the same cards he was holding.
"Thank you, brother! But I really can't accept those, I am from Elven Clan, I have affinities with Wind, Grass, and Earth but not with Water and Ice!" He showed his clan badge to him with a greyish white, green, and yellowish brown border.
"Okay then! I'll just sell this to the Beast Market!" Urie shrugged and went to the market. From a distance, he saw the old lady from whom he got the quest about the slimes that made him get the Beast Connoisseur Clan Affiliation.
The lady gestured for them to come to her as she walked inside the alley from where she came from. The two followed her as they entered the alley and found a white door at the end.
The old lady entered the door and from within, the two saw a well-decorated house. It has a fancy design in it, making it look like a treasure hidden within the dark alleys.
She gestured for the two to come with her as she entered a room and from inside; they saw a large shelf filled with books as she took a thick one and placed it on the table in front of her.
"Come here! I heard you are the one who was searching for clues regarding what happened in this town. I can help you with that!" She offered to the two as she flipped the book open.
"Wait, I haven't told anyone about the mission yet other than my brother?" Urie confusedly looked at the old lady and then looked at his brother and asked, "Have you told her?"
Arie looked at his brother and shook his head in confusion, making him look like he was at the same conundrum as his brother.
"No need to concern yourself about how I knew. I'm an old lady, after all! I know how things work around here!" The old lady smiled and gestured at the two to sit in the seats in front of her.
Urie waved the thought away as the lady knew what the quest was because he wasn't the only one who received it and there were others who did.
"There were legends about how this town was made and they are all linked into a single place. That was the temple lying deep inside the Valley of Night Frost!" The old lady started telling the story as she flipped through the book while the two intently listened to her.
The Valley of Night Frost was a place near the Aqfrost Town that emits cold air both day and night that made the Town experience eternal frost.
It was called Night Frost for a single reason. Everything that went to the valley at night turned into a living ice sculpture. Humans, beasts, and even plants weren't spared. No one knows what caused these phenomena but there were people saying that every night, the place was covered in thick fog and it would disappear in daylight.
The legend that was well known to everyone was the emergence of the deity of the town, it was also known as the Lunar Wolf.
It has the ability of Night and Frost. The rumors about the reason entities were frozen in the valley.
Legends told that the Wolf was as white as the full moon in the sky. It has a dark patch of black on its forehead that changes every time the moon phase also changes.
With its howl, everything around it will immediately turn into a land of Ice and Frost that can even freeze any living creature around deep down in their bones. A full ice sculpture.
The story started thousands of years ago when a brilliant meteor hit the ground near the Aqfrost Town, which was still not a proper place way back then.
A group of people saw where the meteor landed and immediately went to the place and saw the deep crater made by the impact, which was now known as the Valley of Night Frost.
The group went closer and saw that there's a large white wolf lying on the ground as it kept on exuding mist all over its body. Wherever the mist touches, everything will be frozen.
They took care of the wolf for years until one day; the sky cracked and from within, a man stepped out and looked at the wolf, who merrily howled at the sight of the man as it flew towards the man.
There was only one idea that was left in the minds of those people who saw the wolf.
He was God.
The mere thought of them taking care of God's pet made them feel exhilarated. They built the town to commemorate their fateful encounter with the wolf.
As they kept on building the temple, they saw a bright crystal that was shimmering brightly.
The moment that the group finished building the temple, they put the Crystal at the center of the temple as it glowed and immediately exuded a warm feeling despite not melting the surrounding ice and frost.
Aqfrost Town was established by the same group of people who took care of the wolf.
Years passed by and when that group of people found that their life was slowly fading away, they paid respect to the temple one last time as they waited there till night time comes and once the sun has set; they bowed outside the temple and made them the Guardians of the Temple endlessly worshipping the wolf and the God.
"Until now, the ice statues of those people were still in front of that temple, guarding it and endlessly praying in front of it." The old lady finished the story and looked at the two with a satisfied look.
