~~~(POV: Satele Shan)~~~
~~~(Location: The Senate Building, Coruscant)~~~
Nate is far more than I ever imagined him to be... I knew he was special and something greater than a regular human. But I never thought he'd be the son of Abeloth. I know very little about the entity known as Abeloth.
What I do know is restricted to council members. Since I'm the Grandmaster of The Order, I have access to such things. The Archives on Tython holds information about The Mortis Gods, but not enough to have definitive answers like I learned today.
My eyes land on Nate as he sits across me. Waiting for the conversation to continue. I don't know what to ask now that I know such a big secret.
"How long have you known..."
It's not the most interesting question, but I'd like to know. If he knew since he was a child, it would mean he's lied his entire life to everyone. But I doubt it. Nate was terrible at hiding things when first starting out. He didn't know when he was a kid.
There are many theories on how The Force works. One theory is it's passed through blood, but that's not proven. And I'd know, considering Theron can't use The Force.
"When I was drawn to Ilum for answers. The Force Caves there showed me a lot about all the things I didn't know at the time. That's where I first met Abeloth. Through a vision."
He's being more forthcoming with information I didn't think he'd be willing to part with. He's put a lot of trust in me, and I don't intend to betray that trust. What I've learned today will follow me in death. No chance I'm leaving this information for others behind.
But that does leave another question in my mind. One that I didn't think I'd have to ask Nate.
"Can you die?"
It's not the most polite thing to ask, but Nate doesn't seem the type to want to live forever. And if he's cursed with eternal life, that could be a great burden on him. Since I've known him, all he's ever wanted was to know the answers to life.
The answers to his own power and place in the galaxy... He's so powerful... It explains everything now... Why his connection is so deep...
A small, bitter grin takes form on his features. Just from that, I've already got my answer. After a deep breath, and a long sigh through his nostrils is when he speaks.
"Not from time and age... I don't know if I can be killed by another person... Never been close to death before. But from what I know. No, I can't die."
There is a solemn and heavy atmosphere in the room now. It's not something many people like to hear. I know many people get tired of life, and eventually want to die. There aren't a lot of people who go to the end not wanting to die.
"Is that why you've been searching all over? For answers into your path?"
The sideways look he gives me tells me it's not exactly the way I'm hoping it'll be.
"I'm searching for my mother. Abeloth. I want to know why she was locked away. From here. The Daughter told me something, but I want to confirm the answers myself."
That's not good.

Satele stands up from her chair without a word and heads for the door. I don't stop her. No reason to. She'll need to work through all this on her own. As she leaves, I'm left in the silence of the room.
ZCRAAH!!!
Well, Nella's snoring is keeping me company. The girl can sleep like the dead. Not like I'd know. Her questions about death has got me thinking. It's never really sunken in, but an eternal life...
That's not what I signed up for when I made my wish...
"If I truly can't die by any means... What does that mean..."
My mother from Earth... Heaven... Or does that even exist in this universe... I think it does... Or maybe it doesn't... I don't know...
My hand runs through my hair, and I think about Abeloth. I still want to find her and talk to her. But right now, I have to find out where she's at. And all I'm getting from The Force is a single word.
Dagobah.
