Chapter 5 - 5. Rage

For this plan to succeed Advay has to move the egg to the cave's entrance. He touched it and a notification appeared in front of him.

[Energy status: Usable (Vitality)]

[Do the host wants to extract the vitality out of this lifeform?]

It looks like, the system can collect data but it requires the information collected by the host to decipher it.

And it was also a surprise considering the fact that the system had even asked for his opinion. As it had mostly done things on its own.

It would have been great extracting the vitality but the survival plan depends on this egg, hence Advay decisively refused the system.

The egg has some cracks which means that it can hatch anytime. If he decides to extract its vitality now, it equals to killing it. And the mother beast will definitely be out for blood, which will not be a good scenario for him.

He also asked the system why he cannot extract the unknown energy for his use as the system had extracted an unknown energy before.

[Previous extraction was to collect energy for the system, which can use nearly any type and form of energy. A human body is different and using and unknown energy can result in unknown variables.]

[The system lacks information about this energy therefore refuses to extract the unknown energy as it may harm the host.]

"Oh, now you care about me?" Advay asked in a sarcastic tone.

He understood what the system meant and decided to upgrade his knowledge after he returns back to Loka town.

He got ready execute his plan. In order to take the egg to the entrance, he decided to push the egg. And as he guessed, the beast egg was strong enough to not break easily from his push.

He reached the steep slope from where he had fell down to this space. Looking at the egg, he guessed, he won't be able to push it while climbing. He decided to carry the egg but when tried to lift it off the ground, he was barely able to lift it.

It took only two steps for him to put it back down. After taking deep breaths he again lifted it off, just to put it down after two steps. Advay knew that this was his limit but it is also the only available way now.

He continued this process of climb and stop. It took him considerable amount of time to reach the cave.

By the time he reached, he was huffing and sweating heavily. He sat there to recover his breath. There was no screeching of any monkeys outside the cave but he knew that they are still keeping a look onto the entrance.

Now that the egg has reached the entrance, he decided to execute the second part of the plan which is also the riskiest part. He believed that an animal is still an animal even if it has intelligence. The only unknown factor is the mother beast. But, since he cannot control everything, he decided to go ahead with his plan.

Advay reached the starting point of the cave, stood there, took a deep breath and with full strength of his, pushed the egg out of the cave in the direction of forest. He put so much strength in his push that veins can be seen bulging in his arms. Without even looking how far the egg had gone, he sprinted to the opposite direction of the egg, which was the way back towards his landing point.

While running, he saw that there was no screeching or anything and turned a little to take a glance from the corner of his eyes.

The twin tail monkeys like Advay thought were keeping a watch at the cave entrance. There are only few of them, most of these animals believed that the human is already devoured by the beast.

Those monkeys waiting for him were shocked when an egg tumbled out of the entrance. The egg had an aura of a beast surrounding it. The monkeys became so attracted to the egg that it took some time for them to notice the human running out of the cave. By the time they noticed, he had already covered a considerable distance.

Though the egg was just a little far away from them, they become wary after sensing the aura of a beast. No matter how much strength Advay had put in his push, it was unable to make the egg reach the forest. Advay also knew it, but he just wanted to distract the animals, in which he was successful.

As time passed, the wariness slowly disappeared from these twin-tails, only to be displaced by hunger and greed. They totally forgot about the human and even themselves.

Their senses were telling them that if they manage to devour the egg then they can evolve into a beast. In front of such temptation, a tiny human has no value to them.

Advay, by the time had reached the top of the plain. He turned around, to notice that no twin tail monkeys can be seen following him, but instead of slowing down, he decided to run faster towards the landing point. As per his plan the real danger starts now. The thought had just passed through his mind when from behind him, a primal roar filled with rage was heard.

The twin tail monkeys ran towards the egg by the time Advay reached the top of the plain. In order to take a bite of the egg, a fight started in between them. Tail swipes could be seen regularly hitting many of the them and some of them were even clawing the other with their sharp nails. It became more chaotic when more of them joined the hunt.

While the fight was going on some of them tried to sneak attack and break the egg but to no avail as the egg was stronger than their normal attacks and the aura of the beast surrounding it was also acting as a cushion.

Suddenly, the egg began to crack and the aura of a beast around the egg started diminishing as if it was being sucked inside the egg. The twin tail monkeys fighting each other, saw this phenomenon and knew that a new lifeform is about to be born. And it would be a beast.

This made them stop for a moment until their greed again overtook their fear. The moment the aura disappears will be the moment the egg will be at its weakest and can be broken.

The egg is at a stage where it requires a lot of energy so that by the time it was born it can become as strong as possible.

Their greed had just overtaken them when a fear more potent than before erupted within them. They sensed an aura filled with rage locked into them. They cannot see the beast, as it itself is far away but its aura had locked onto them which made the monkeys who were fighting among them unable to move at all.

Followed by the aura came a primal roar filled with rage. Many of these monkeys fainted but those who retained their consciousness were shivering from head to toe.

A mammoth of a beast could be seen approaching them. She was neither flying nor running but instead directly landed from the sky to the ground. Her landing created cracks around the ground. In order to not harm the egg, the beast landed far away from it.

It didn't matter, as a single step was enough to cover that distance. Her rage was so great that, by the time she reached them, she took those monkeys in her grasp and squashed them into a meat paste. Her squashing continued but there were so many of them, hence she used her claws once to slash all of them into bits. After killing every single of them like an insect, she arrived near the egg.

Her eyes which were filled with rage became gentle. She saw that her young one is ready to break out of the egg and knew that it requires a huge amount of energy. She decided to bring it back to the cave where there is a lot of energy. After her young one is born, she would come back to ravage the forest to the ground.

But her eyes became cold when she found another aura lingering around the egg. It was not of the monkeys she decimated right now neither it was of any animal or a beast. It was a very disgusting aura which she remembers only belongs to human.

The aura was faint and its traces can also be seen outside the cave. The aura can be trailed towards the top of the slope. She turned her eyes toward the top of the slope and found a tiny human running away.

After hearing the roar filled with anger, Advay didn't stop and started descending the slope as fast as he can, but suddenly felt a tingling in his spine, to his horror he became aware that something or someone has locked onto him. The pressure was so great that he nearly stumbled and fell down.
