Chapter 1 - Prologue

Five hundred years ago, a divine power came to the world. It began to flow through everything in the world, through all living things and through the natural elements. New objects were created, new plants sprouted from the earth, new animals were born, and the sky, land and sea felt as though they were enchanted. This power became known as The Force of Nature.

Eventually, the people learned how to harness this power, and use any objects created by it. They used it to command the elements, to make new discoveries and to improve their society. They used the objects to make tools, or enhance their abilities and connection to the Force of Nature. Those who had a strong connection to the Force of Nature were able to command the seas, create vicious storms, and produce flames that could burn an entire forest in a matter of seconds. They could sense changes in the weather, dangers that were close by, and, in some cases, even feel the divine power flowing through them.

Many went on daring adventures, seeking other relics created by the divine power, or to gain an understanding of its true nature and capabilities.

As time passed, people came together to form small groups. These groups would prosper and grow into large civilisations, some of which would in turn grow into larger nations. Five of these nations grew faster and larger than the others, obtaining power, wealth and influence, and became known as The Five Kingdoms.

The Five Kingdoms are The Frostlands of the north, Montzona of the west, Laciporta Dura of the south, The Yedo Empire of the east, and Aridia which lied around the centre of the world.

For nearly two hundred years, the Five Kingdoms were able to live together in peace and harmony, trading with each other, forming strong relationships, and helping each other, along with some of the other nations, to establish laws about using the Force of Nature. However, the Emperor of the Yedo Empire wanted to use the Force of Nature for his own evil reasons. He rejected these laws, abolished all relations with the other kingdoms and declared war on the world, wanting to have everything and everyone under his rule and control.

The other kingdoms fought back, and were able to hold the empire back, with help from several nations. However, the Black Order, an organisation founded by the Emperor (and, according to a rumour, a mysterious advisor), began to sow the seeds of discord, creating fear, distrust and doubt between the kingdoms. They sent spies to infiltrate the opposing nations, spread rumours and orchestrated several attacks to make it look as though the other nations were turning on each other. Relations were severely weakened, or completely cut off. By the time the people found out about the Black Order and realised what was going on, it was too late. Hope for peace to be restored upon the world began to diminish.

Ten years later, the empire has conquered more than one third of the world. However, although the empire was continuously successful in its conquests and had a strong chance of victory, the Emperor wasn't satisfied. He sought the greatest threat to the empire, which was also the greatest source of hope for the other kingdoms; the Four Vessels. Four powerful beings, who could be anywhere in the world, including his own empire. These four had the power to ruin all chances of victory for the empire, unite the Five Kingdoms and the other nations, and bring an end to the Emperor's plans.

He had commanded his army, the Black Order, and his own personal guard to find them. Although he had declared to the world that he had found and killed them, in truth, he had only found three of them. He still searches the Five Kingdoms, and the other nations, looking for the last one. For without them, the world would lose all hope, all chance of victory. Without them, the Emperor's plans remain incomplete and in jeopardy.

This is the story of a group of unlikely heroes from around the world, who come together and embark on a perilous journey. The hardships they face, the lessons they will learn, and the people they will meet will determine the future of this world.

For this is a story about hope, belief, and never giving up, no matter how hard things get. For victory to be achieved, one must have faith in others and, most importantly, themselves. Trust in yourself, believe in what is good and in what is right, and you will not falter.

And so the story begins, at the edge of the Frostlands....
