Chapter 11 - Puppet (11)

Andras clicked his tongue after seeing Sirvana collapse weakly onto the ground. Bright red blood was already coming from her body.

He didn't care about that random woman, but Samuel's mental state might be affected.

"Samuel! Just focus on the fight! Sooner we get out of here, the sooner we can treat her!" Andras yelled.

A dark glow emerged as the seal on his body was getting weaker. Breathing in deeply, a flash of red flickered around as small explosions kept ringing near the serpent.

Although they were fighting in a large enclosed space, Andras held back as he couldn't risk collapsing the whole roof onto him.

Samuel's eyes saw through the haze, and he flashed forward and stabbed the serpent's underbelly, dragging his sword deeply into the snake.

Enraged, the snake hissed in pain as it lunged at Samuel, leaving the egg exposed for just a moment.

That moment was enough for Andras however, as he quickly raised his sword and stabbed into the dark blob.

It seemed to have shivered in pain, as the serpent screeched and raised its attention towards Andras.

Even though Andras managed to dodge, the side of his stomach got grazed, leaving a dark purple bruise.

Feeing his energy naturally decreasing to heal his wounded body, Andras groaned as he stopped the energy from going towards his wound and redirected it to his sword.

If Chu Mal-Chin was here, he would have applauded Andras's will and scary godlike ability to manipulate mana to such extent.

The snake seemed to have no intent on leaving the egg anymore, as it just circled around, defensively wrapping itself around it.

Samuel looked towards Andras, and they both nodded.

Clenching their swords, they relentlessly pressured the snake with 2 direct attacks at one in different directions.

As the serpent raised its tail to block Andras's loud explosion, Samuel dove into the snake's encirclement of the egg and activated his holy attribute as he stabbed deeply.

Letting out a defeaning screech again, it curled around tightly around Samuel. As if trying to make a last ditch effort to kill the intruder.

Andras was flicked away by the snake's final stand as he too, smacked into a wall. Coughing out blood, and with no energy, he feebly laid there, as he placed his remaining hope on Samuel.

.

Samuel felt the snake constricting his body, squeezing it so tightly he thought he would pop.

None the less, his sword dug deeper into the egg as the holy attribute naturally devoured the unborn egg's energy.

Imbuing the rest of his remaining energy, he planned to atleast take this serpent bastard down with him.

However as the snake's body squeezed harder and harder around them, Samuel found it hard to breath, as his consciousness started to fade.

Something was heard outside of the painful constrict, and the grip the snake had around him loosened significantly.

It was Sirvana, who had bit the pain, and took Andras's sword. She had performed her deadliest side ability, [Final Dance]. It exhausted all of the energy from her body, causing her to basically become an ordinary person. Her main ability was [Butterfly's incarnation], which just boosted her agility and caused her to become superhumanly flexible when activated. This side ability was discovered when she almost lost her life.

This however managed to pierce the distracted snake's head as it was busy focusing solely on Samuel.

As soon as she saw the snake weakly fall down, she too collapsed as she coughed up blood. Her internal injuries were so severe from using her ability, and if she wasn't treated soon, she would die.

Samuel saw this as the serpent's body around him fell to the ground, and the egg was finally purified and dissipated into the air.

"S-Sirvan-urgh-!" Samuel also coughed up blood as his body couldn't take the strain anymore. He fell weakly towards the ground, struggling to get up.

The exit gate had already opened, but Samuel couldn't get up, Andras couldn't walk, and Sirvana was on the verge of death.

Just as he thought it couldn't get any worse, he heard the sound of crisp dress shoes slowly coming from the dark. Samuel turned his head to see a familiar creepy mask staring at the 3 of them.

—-

Well shit. What was this situation now!? Chu Mal-Chin struggled to keep his composure. He thought having 2 SS ranks and one S rank would be enough to defeat the boss even if they were sealed.

But when he finally made his way through the instance, he saw the barely conscious trio, who all coughed up blood from exerting too much energy.

Now he wanted to cough blood! Even if they were sealed they were the-…! Wait, they weren't the strong and valiant main characters in the novel yet.

This was still in the beginning of the novel when they were basically babies compared to their middle and final stages. And to top it all off, he had rushed the process and didn't wait for the seal to fully open!

Chu Mal-Chin wanted to smack past self of him silly, but there were more urging matters to attend to right now.

Walking towards Sirvana quickly, he contemplated whether to help her or not. Samuel at his side feebly begged him not to kill her, but Chu Mal-Chin quickly ignored him.

In the original novel, Sirvana died leaving Samuel to be promoted…but he did feel kinda guilty on using Sirvana and the situation was kinda his fault.

[Don't do it, Chu Mal-Chin.] The previously dead system chimed up. [Unless you want to be punished, just exit the gate.]

He dismissed the system as he felt a burning glare coming from his left. Andras had regained some of his conscious, and was clearly warning him to stay away from Sirvana, or at least thats what he thought it meant.

Did all the main characters fall in love with Sirvana or something? [Wrong!] Frowning, he thought quickly.

Chu Mal-Chin already had followed the system's orders to fix the plot, but what if by not saving Sirvana, the plot gets even more distorted? [Wrong]

It seems something happened causing them to like her now, [Wrong!!] and they might truly blacken and torture him painfully near the end of the novel. Which, isn't really that enjoyable if you couldn't tell.

Seeing how the system also didn't immediately say the punishment would be death, (as that would be enough for him to leave her) Chu Mal-Chu assumed it was probably just some pain. Which he could deal with if he could fix some of the plot and repay his debt back with Sirvana.

Making up his mind, he summoned an emergency pill that could help restore internal and external injuries. Orchid had quite of few of these somehow just stashed away in his apartment.

Using his gloves to carefully open Sirvana's mouth, he just planned to drop it in.

Suddenly, a wave of angry main character energy flew towards him. Flicking it away easily, Orchid turned towards the almost foaming at the mouth, angry Samuel. His bloodshot eyes would kill him 100xs over if he had to power to do so.

"Oh stop resisting now ah~" Orchid rolled his eyes and plopped the pill into Sirvana's mouth, shaking her head to make sure the pill rolled down into her stomach.

[You should have just listened] As Sirvana's wounds healed visibly to the eye, a sharp feeling of pain engulfed Chu Mal-Chin's entire body.

He felt as if electricity was stinging through his entire body, and he couldn't even cry out in pain as the feeling reached his mouth too.

Gasping, Orchid collapsed and started clutching his throat, as if he was getting choked.

Bewildered, Andras and Samuel looked in shock as liquid dripped down from beneath his mask.

Letting out a painful groan, Orchid twitched as his body wildly flailed around.

"Huh?" Samuel's eyes widened at the bizarre sight, he thought Orchid was poisoned or something.

After not moving for a while, Orchid slowly stood up. Purple bruises aligned the little pale skin that showed. His neck had a thick ring of purple surrounding it, like something had strangeled him.

With his enhanced hearing, Samuel and Andras managed to catch a few of his mumbled words.

"…..fucking….puppet….." The hoarse voice was completely different then its normal sly and annoying tone.

Orchid limped towards Samuel, and somehow, it seemed that Orchid was in a worse condition then him.

The dress shoes stopped in front of Samuel's face, just as Samuel tried to look higher, a resounding kick was felt against his face.

Samuel was about to spew curses again, but then Orchid collapsed with him, his top hat actually falling off for once. His long, loose black hair was drenched in sweat.

Struggling, Orchid hurriedly put the hat back on before standing up weakly. Chu Mal-Chin also wanted to smack Andras for making fun of him, but it seemed his condition was weaker then he thought.

"…Bastards." He spat before exiting the portal, leaving the confused duo unable to piece together the situation.

"What the hell…." Andras winced as he spoke.
