Chapter 3 - So it begins

I stand and notice that I only come up to his thick shoulders. I turn to grab my dress off the boulder and begin to put it on, the flames in my cheeks getting hotter. It was then that he found his voice.

"Im sorry, I didn't realize what you were until I was upon you. What is a girl like you doing out here in the middle of nowhere?" His voice was deep like thunder and gave me goosebumps when he spoke.

Turning around I studied him a bit trying to decide what I would tell him. I couldn't tell him the truth there was no telling if he had friends close by. But urge to tell him was there, something about this man screamed to trust him. I couldn't tell anyone though, ever.

He shifted his weight under my heavy gaze seemingly uncomfortable in the silence between us. I was a good ways from home, if I told him I was just out for a strole would he follow me when I tried to leave? He had weapons and he was quite familiar with them, so using my gift was out of the question. I wasn't even sure they would work as I intended them too.

His face was still a blank mask, but his eyes shone with something more than indifference. calculation? curiosity? I suspected a bit of both.

"I could ask you the same thing." The words came out in a huff of breath I hadn't realized I was holding.

A woman. In the middle of the woods, and she was naked. We were a good five days walk from the nearest village. Was she lost? Hungry? I lost train of thought when those emerald green eyes made contact with my own. Eyes hard with determination.

She rose to her feet and my eyes fell down the length of her body taking in her lithe form. No she wasnt hungry, she seemed healthy enough. Freckles bloomed across her round face. A warm breeze caught a lock of her raven black hair and brushed against her puckered nipples. My mouth watered seeing them taut, wanting to taste each peak. Her chest was spattered with freckles too, they trailed all the way down her cream colored skin to her toes.

Suddenly she turned around and reached for a white dress that I hadn't realized was there earlier. I internally groan at the delicious sight of her backside, perfectly rounded cheeks dusted with more of those mischievous freckles.

I shake my head to gather my thoughts and survey our surroundings to make sure we are still alone. I should hunt soon, there is only a few hours of light left. Where will she go? Does she live here? In the woods? Is she alone? What is she doing out here with no weapons? I decide to ask her just that.
