Bryn softly sighs as she watches the knights train, finding it ridiculous that they had slacked off whilst she was away. The Young Baroness was allowed anywhere she pleased. Even where higher ranked nobleswere forbidden without invitation, though it's only because of her skills in battle that have saved the kingdom and the king multiple times. King Julian offered her the rank of duchess, but she refused for she would rather work than become an object of high society.
The men soon look to their commander as she wore a black tunic with black pants, her golden curls tipped with black tied in a low ponytail, along with black boots and her scythe strapped to her back. " C-Commander Delphine, we thought you wouldn't be back so soon with territorial duties and such." One foolish knight said as he stepped up to her.
"You dumb Jackals, you all slacked off while I was gone. What would've happened if there was a rebellion or infiltration?" She growls as her cerulean eyes glared at them as they flinch and she sighs. "You'll be happy to know I'll be gone soon for good. I'm being sent to Jahazar for an alliance through marriage." She says as she turned away from them not giving a chance for questions.
Gahanna and Jahazar have been neither allies nor enemies for hundreds of years, but with the threat of war arising swiftly, the King offered his second son for marriage. Julian had offered to her due to her being the best in fighting, and defense even if she was lacking on ladylike etiquette and attire.
Julian's wife, Merlia, walks to her "Bryn it's time, we have to get you ready. Prince Karis will be arriving soon, and you must look your best as his bride to be", she says as Bryn sighs following knowing there was no way out of it now. She had seen paintings of him and knew he was handsome, but also knew their culture for marriage was different.
The queen had her hand maidens bathe and dress her in a dark blue dress with black lace and her hair was brushed, put up in a rose looking bun as she had put her mother's necklace on, a thin gold chain without a pendant. Merlia smiles pleased that she looked the part before putting a gold and sapphire diadem on her head to finish the look.
Karis sighs as he rode in the carriage with his elder brother,Suna, as the two completely opposite. Suna had long red hair with slightly tanned skin and grey eyes like their father, but as for Karis had jet black hair with dark tan skin and amber eyes like their mother. " Karis I need you to make this work between you two for both kingdoms. She is a Daughter of the Moon after all, and you are a Child of the Sun" he says referring to the mark Karis had since he was born.
Karis nods in silence as he looks at the passing scenery, hopping his bride wouldn't be a barbarian like the tales of her believe her to be. He knew the circumstances were different than a normal marriage through alliance. Usually it'd be between two royals not a low ranked noble and Royal, but they no choice especially since he wasn't the crown prince and she was to be both wife and bodyguard.
He looks to the knight commander , Luca, who was riding beside the carriage. They had grown up as best friends, and he sworn to protect him and Suna at all cost. Luca was a silent man with red eyes and white hair, along with pale skin due to Albinism.
