A noise from my window wakes me up and the sunlight touched from bare skin.

"It's time to rise, Sweetie. Get up and everything is prepared." my mom said in a sweet voice. I can't see her but I know she has her genuine smile on me. She kissed my forehead " Good morning, sweetie. Take a bath and go downstairs afterward. " She said and left me.

I went inside the bathroom and took a bath.

I can't see anything but complete darkness but my family is my life to keep me living. A decade ago, everything has vanished. I lost my eyesight because of an accident. I am just so lucky that I survived. As much as possible I don't want to go back to that tragedy from my past.

I am Chastity Hope Aragon Monteverde, the heir of Monteverde Construction firm but how can I do my responsibility of being an heir if I have this disability? But I don't lose my hope. I have this hunch that my eyesight will be back soon.

I finished taking a bath then went downstairs. I am used to it. Even I am blind but I still used to be independent. I don't want to depend on other people surround me not unless it is necessary.

"Sweetie, why don't you call us? What if you might fall on the stairs. " Mom said in a worried voice.

"Mom, I'm fine okay. Nothing bad will happen to me." I said.

Mom put food on my plate.

"Eat this sweetie. I'm the one who cooks it for you. Your favorite garlic Fried rice." Mom said
