Chapter 1 - Love of a Vampire

Deseree always loved to dance in the rays of the sun, but she loved the beams of light put off by the moon and stars of the night sky. Her mother always said she was a lover of light and darkness.

Deseree was the only child to her mother, Kristina, and her father Devon Fising. Her father loved to spoil her, while her mother made sure there was balance, and that she understood the difference between right and wrong, how to use good manners and be well behaved. The only time she got to be the wild and free spirit that she truly is, was at home. Her mother said that in public she had to use her manners.

Deseree loved her parents very much. She had not seen her father's parents since she was very young, when they left Romania. Her mother's parents had also moved to America with them, and they still had their Romanian accent.

Deseree had just moved from New York to Arkansas. There were a lot more trees and mountains than what she was used to in New York City. Desree lived only 5 miles from the high school she would be attending the very next day. Her hazel eyes lit up with more of the green lighting them as she thought of all the new people she would get to meet and the new activities she would be apart of. She always wanted to be on the cheer and dance teams for the school in New York, but her parents felt some of the dances were too inappropriate. They were willing to let her try here though.

Deseree was tall and toned. She was shorter than all the other kids growing up until she turned 13. Now, she had long legs that brought her to stand 5'10" at only 16 years old. She had blonde hair that had natural red streaks that looked like the rays of the sun, olive colored skin that glistened in the sunlight and moonlight. She had big beautiful doe eyes that were hazel with long thick eyelashes. Most people could not see the defined cheekbones of her face from all of the curls in her hair that usually framed her face. Her pink rosey lips were always smiling and lighting up any room she came into. Deseree was the definition of innocent beauty.
