Chapter 184 - Leaving for the Sonad Empire

As the day unfolded, Thomas delved into the Necrosphere. Guiding the purified Daemons, he led them through the ethereal threads connecting dimensions to the awe-inspiring Infernal City. This city, a manifestation of dark enchantment and celestial artistry, awaited their arrival.

Standing in the heart of this colossal metropolis, surrounded by towering walls etched with arcane runes and illuminated by the glow of special-grade artifacts, the Daemons found themselves in sheer disbelief. The grandeur of the city surpassed anything they had ever glimpsed in their wildest dreams. Gratitude and wonder danced in their eyes as they realized the immense opportunity bestowed upon them to dwell in such an extraordinary place.

Recognizing the importance of facilitating their integration, Thomas engaged in comprehensive interviews with each Daemon. He sought to understand the intricacies of their abilities and talents, intending to create an environment where their strengths could flourish. With this knowledge, he orchestrated the construction of vital infrastructure within the city.

The Management Building rose as a testament to efficiency and order, its architecture harmonizing with the city's dark magnificence. A dedicated Workshop emerged, a creative hub for the production of powerful artifacts and runic talismans, bearing witness to the fusion of ancient craftsmanship and modern innovation. Adjacent to it, an Alchemic Room materialized, its purpose to unlock the secrets of transformation and transmutation.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the Infernal City into a realm of shadows and enchantments, Thomas finalized the intricate design of the burgeoning metropolis. It was at this juncture that he beckoned for Lulu, a paragon of authority and competence. With a poised introduction, he presented her to the Daemons as the Deputy Mayor of Infernal City, endowing her with the mantle of leadership for the times he would inevitably be away.

Lulu accepted the responsibility without a hint of hesitation. At this stage, anything associated with Thomas, no matter how fantastical or implausible, had become just like any other day.

In the heart of the Infernal City, Thomas ensured that amidst the grandeur, a reflection of his presence and endeavors would stand tall. From the very core of the city emerged a marvel—a floating tower that reached ethereal heights, overshadowing every other architectural wonder. This tower, a testament to Thomas's ingenuity, soared into the heavens with an otherworldly grace.

Comprising nine hundred and ninety-nine floors, the Great Tower of Babel symbolized not only the unity of myriad realms but also Thomas's commitment to transcendence. The tower's floating essence defied gravity, seemingly tethered to the arcane forces that coursed through the city.

Within this towering structure, Thomas established his personal residence, a realm where advanced technology from Mars seamlessly coexisted with mystical elements. The tower housed his private workshop, concealed beneath the bustling cityscape, where ideas converged into reality, and innovation danced with enchantment.

Standing tall as the pinnacle of the Infernal City's skyline, the Great Tower of Babel encapsulated Thomas's arduous journey. Its spire reached towards unseen realms, echoing the spirit of ancient ambitions while embracing the promise of a boundless future. As if safeguarding this monument, the mirrors of the Luminous Ark could be seen floating around the building, their radiant glow offering a protective embrace to the towering structure below.

The immense endeavor had taken a toll on Thomas, leaving him breathless and fatigued. Seeking solace and respite, he ascended to the zenith of the tower he had constructed. As he reached the topmost floor, he succumbed to weariness and settled into a colossal bed. The view from this vantage point encompassed the entirety of the Infernal City, a testament to the domain he now ruled. With that panoramic scene before him, Thomas succumbed to a deep slumber, cradled by the echoes of his accomplishments.

Waking up, Thomas found Lulu waiting by the door. As soon as she noticed he was awake, she approached and presented a detailed report on all the installations in the city, as well as an overview of the activities and developments among the Daemons.

"You've really outdone yourself. Look at the size of this city, and this tower. How in the seven hells did you build all this in such a short time?"

Thomas dryly laughed. "I didn't build anything; it was only a reward. As for this tower, you must have noticed it too. This whole city is alive; it simply responded to my thoughts and remodeled itself."

Within the regal spires and ethereal glow of the Imperial Moon City, Thomas treaded through bustling markets. His steps resonated with purpose as he sought rare materials and arcane treasures to breathe life into the Infernal City, a project birthed from the loom of destiny. The air was rich with the scent of enchantments and whispers of ancient secrets.

A Merchant Demon, draped in robes adorned with lunar sigils, presented himself as a purveyor of mystical artifacts. "Greetings, seeker of wonders! What arcane gems does your quest desire?"

Thomas, eyes gleaming with the flame of purpose, replied, "I seek the essence to forge realms anew. Crystals, runes, and the very heartbeat of magic lay them before me."

As the transactions unfolded, Thomas delved into the intricacies of his artifacts, the Luminous Ark and the Necrospear. Thinking of ways to further the power of his weapons.

In the tranquil embrace of his chamber, Thomas reached out to Kallana, the Moon Empress, utilizing the mystic channels that seamlessly connected their realms.

In the lingering echoes of their conversation, a subtle hum filled the air, resonating with the cadence of their unfolding plans. An attendant entered Kallana's Imperial chamber, bowing with due deference as they relayed a message. With a quiet exit, the attendant left the Moon Empress alone to absorb the news. It was then that she informed Thomas of recent reports indicating the Sonad were not orchestrating the imminent attack on Earth. Contrary to their expectations, humanity was already weathering an assault from infiltrated enemies.

Thomas's expression underwent a myriad of changes before settling into a calm determination. With a resolute gaze, he asked the Empress for the coordinates of the Sonad's capital.

Kallana glanced sideways, discerning Thomas's intent. Yet, she hesitated, uneasy about letting the young man risk his life alone.

"I've heard rumors of the Sonad fortifying their forces. Are you certain you can infiltrate their capital without raising alarms?" queried Kallana. Undeterred, Thomas, exuding confidence, reassured her that he had everything under control and implored her to trust that all was well.

The Moon Empress, a symbol of grace and authority, listened intently. Despite the trust invested in his words, Thomas remained an enigma to her. His character, strengths, and vulnerabilities lingered in the shadows. Yet, as their ethereal gazes converged, the brightness and keenness in his eyes, akin to a sheathed blade, stirred a quiet assurance within the Empress. In that unspoken connection, she felt compelled to place her trust in this young architect of destinies.

With the dawn heralding the morrow, Thomas ascended the Luminous Shuttle, bound for the Sikalein Sector in the Sun Demon Territory of the Demon Domain.

During the journey, a confident smile played on Thomas's lips. While he claimed not to want to draw attention, he was well aware that mere attention was the least of his concerns. Instead, his aim was to instill terror in those who dared threaten his home.
