Chapter 155 - Rise of a Glutton

From the edges of the deadlands, Thomas stood as he witnessed the whole deadlands change before his eyes.

The heat of the three suns were still there but all the purple fluid he's seen before was nowhere to be seen.

The sky was clearer than ever and the extensive desert devoid of almost all live was revised. The dried away lands were bursting with water, vegetation began to grew at a visible rate, transforming the whole deadlands.

With all traces of the former deadlands vanishing, no one would believe what this place used to look like even he told them.

He was initially planning on studying the strange vessel where on the crashing site but changed minds when he felt something huge was about to happen.

And it was true, he could feel Arthur's aura even from this faraway distance and Thomas was now in shock after noticing the growth of his enemy had been this big.

"In the raking of demons, the current Arthur should be around the level of a demon king. This is a little concerning indeed..." By the ranking, demon lords were on the level of master adepts or 8-Star Beasts. However, demons possess a more formidable body than humans which gives greater advantage.

By this measure, Arthorias is beyond the scale of power on earth.

Worse is that right now, the entire demon realm is preparing for an assault on earth with a force of multiple kings.

There is no time to waste on this planet.

The current Thomas was confident in his strength and believed he could win against the prince. Even if he wasn't used to the power of sin inside the crystal heart, he still had several trump cards that could guarantee the win.

But with the Arthur's fast grow rate, it would be a problem if he waited too long.

"Fine, it's already time to act. I'll be sure to return home for Mom, Clarisse and everyone."

........

Again in the dark, the former demon prince on the bottom of the pit looked nothing like he once was.

After consuming thousands of beasts, the essence of the beasts were refined inside his body and became part of his power. The increase was astonishing fast, but it didn't come without it's downsides.

His previous aura, demonic energy and and blood had turned from gold to a murky gray energy, losing most of it's former luster.

When biting the arm of a tall ape, Arthorias exhaled as he felt the blood of the flesh run down his edge, temporarily appeasing his eternal hunger.

Instantly, he reached out to a ten meter tall armored beast with ten eyes and devoured it's body instantly.

As threads of blood essence gushed through his thread and slowly dissolving into his body, his already oppressively aura grew by another notch.

As long he returned now, even his father would bestowal him the right to inherit the whole Sonad Clan. It's just that being recognized by his clan is no longer what drives this demon prince.

"But this is not enough, I need more... m-more things to consume... Yes... I need more....." Muttering in the dark, words that barely made any sense.

The murky gray aura had completely taken over Arthur's mind, twisting his mind into something else

If Thomas were here he would noticed the the demon prince had totally lost himself, and the reason for that resided in that same gray aura whose essence belonged to one of seven ancient demons.

It was in that instant that the former twilight lion's tribal chief descended into the pit. "Lord, the scouts we sent have failed to find anything in the place marked by the key. The key we got must be fake. However, a strange phenomenon is happening in the deadlands... That barren and forsaken place is being revived. Right now a huge mass of aura of life is flowing into there and some of it is even making it's way over here. But before it happened, our scouts saw a huge pillar of demonic energy rising to the skies making a huge storm."

"Really?" A pair of eyes locked on him before moving over to the sky. "That's it, the Archis yet that's not all. I feel it... He's already there, but it doesn't matter even if he got to the Archis. Both are destined to be devoured, yes they are..."

Arthur rose up from his spot and with a wave of his hand, gray mass flowed everywhere dissolving all bodies in the area before returning to his body.

Suddenly, giant mouth pounced upon Vail who was devoured in a single bit, not leaving even a thread of hair.

"Great, but it's not enough, not enough. I want... more!"

When Arthur came to light, his true appearance was then revealed. A one hundred and twenty meter tall creature covered in magma-like skin which itself is otherwise surprisingly smooth. It's large head sit atop a long neck with single, straight horn and a pair of golden-purple eyes completely taken over by the most pure hunger to exist.

But the scariest of all was it's mouth located at the creature's belly which occupied over half of the whole body and it's teeth which could cut through the fiercest metal as if it's just butter.
