Right after cleaning the Xamak mountain, Thomas bough several protective and illusory talismans and used it to surround the entirety of Xamak.
"This looks great, but I don't have much time so I got to keep working." Watching as the whole mountain had before a impregnable fortress, Thomas grabbed his hammer then hurried back to the former peaceful lake and wooden hut, now completely converted into a workshop.
First Thomas placed a whole set of blueprints, the Spear of Ares, the black orb as well all other artifacts he's build in the past weeks.
With the exception of the useful crimson throwing knives he already kept in his clothes, Thomas picked a small selection of really useful pieces before selling it all in the system store.
The selected pieces counted a new and more resilient shroud for his quantum computer, an inner vest with high defense and the ability to absorb 5% of all impact and a small change of 0.5 of completely negating damage but only once a day.
Two gloves immune to white weapons lower than mortal grade 3, and a set of artic bombs that could encase a area of five meter into cold ice.
All other artifacts he sold off for a total of 22 million for all twenty artifacts, kind of low considering how many artifacts he sold.
And now he's acquired enough experience, it was time to give his all into making the greatest artifact of his life.
....
On the that day of the attack, the Aaron looked absolutely desolate. There was almost nobody that could be seen.
But there was one place that wasn't desolate at all, in the outskirts of the Verdan Mountain Range. The forces of the Aaron marched to the ruins of Glamadon, a force of twelve thousand beasts. The heads of Aaron's ten great tribes were all at the front.
Heading down the valley, extended plains could be seen covered in Purple Dream Trees. A grand and imposing scenery to all those who looked upon it. It was entirely made out of stone.
The view made Lulu sigh in admiration, then immediately suppressed her heart before throwing a glance at her cousins. Her heart couldn't help but feel something bad in the air, and a suspicion that has been growing ever since Thomas disappeared.
She first suspected it was something to do with the city, but it did not look like anything they had seen. Then she spent weeks searching for him which resulted in nothing. However, she didn't know how to explain but she was sure Thomas is fine.
She didn't know how long had passed, but eventually, a torrential rainfall began and the beasts mounted a camp in behind a nice little mount.
'huh?' Early in the morning of the next day, Lulu woke up as she smelled a strong scent of blood.
Looking at her tribesmen then to the other beasts such as the Luke and the twilight lions, but none of them seemed to notice the same scent.
Lulu's heart became uncertain and moved towards the source of the scent, diverging from the rest of the army.
"Lulu? Where are you going." Lulu's cousin Hakin noticed the little lioness sneaking away, then asked with confusion in his eyes.
"I'm just stretching my legs, Will be back shortly." Throwing the simplest excuse, she delved towards the source of the scent.
A couple miles away from the camp was a dark pit hidden by the dense vegetation. She then heard the sounds of chewing, getting closer she saw the body of a hundred eyes beast half-eaten by a ground of smaller wild beasts.
Looking closer, she discovered that the nearby soil showed signs of digging. Most probably, the body was already buried but then these 1-star beasts must have noticed the scent and were attracted.
The hundred eyes beast are known to be generally weaker than others in the same level, yet one of them wouldn't die to easily with their ability to discern and predict danger.
She immediately understood this beast had been killed by someone then buried. As for how long... It should be pretty recent so one day at the latest.
Quite a sneaky tactic that doesn't match with the straightforward mind of beasts.
"This beast was killed less than a day ago, but why would anyone kill him? Could it be that there are Krias lurking nearby?" Lulu frowned, and her heart accelerated like crazy. Only those crazy snakes would take a life in a sneaky manner. If the Krias are indeed close by then things could get messy.
"But to kill somebody this close to their camp... It seems exterminating the Krias might be harder than he had expected."
Not only did they have to deal with these evil snakes but there was even the mysterious person Thomas warned her about. A demon prince with golden fur, err, golden hair and a body structure similar to that of a human.
According to Thomas, a demon is way worse than the Krias that has been threatening the peace of the island for the past centuries. Not only do they command powers beyond imagination, they also grow much faster than beasts and are beings that can't be trusted in any situation.
Shooing away the little beasts, she got closer to the body and try to feel any aura traces of the killer. Due to being buried in the ground, the rain as well being fed on by the beast, the scent was very, very weak but there was something familiar about a cut on the body's back.
It was at this point when a melancholic voice echoed. "So you found out as I feared."
She jumped away then turned around only to see a tall lion-headed man staring straight at her with an evil smile in his face.
