Chapter 133 - Last Wish

As soon he woke up from a long sleep, Thomas was still unsure about what to do. It was clear that his demonic powers won't recover that easily and without another way to defend himself against the Demon Prince, Thomas gritted his teeth as he opened the door to the Divine Palace.

Inside the hall of gods, Thomas stood alone as a blue vortex opened, a cracking of wood, and suddenly he's eye to eye with a tall entity of over eighty meters tall. Another thing one could notice was the astonishingly wide hole in his abdomen, around the same location as his liver.

[Are you here to accept this one's final request?] Two blazing eyes stare at Thomas from above as dense smoke rushes from its oozing mouth in eerie joy.

"I was focusing too much on my physique that I forgot something very important. More than any demonic energy or physique, is that I have you guys. I have seen how you lived, even as a being as old as Gaia herself, you still got treated worse than shit by a mere descendant of hers for not nothing enough strength. But I also know of how much you care for the weak, even if others would forget everything you did for them, but I'm not. They may have all forgotten, but in name of all humanity, thank you for everything and I promise to be a worthy successor of your name."

Seeing the flames burning inside each of Thomas' eyes, as well the unraveling resolve. The ancient titan held back the tears treating to flow down it's giant face.

Thomas on the other hand was speaking as truthfully as he could. While he couldn't be sure of what this final request entails, he's read enough novels to know the remnant spirit of Prometheus would dissipate after receiving his inheritance a deity.

Even if Prometheus wasn't a combative deity with high attack power as the one said it himself. A deity is a deity nonetheless which made Thomas delay this event for entire weeks.

If it wasn't for his broken physique he would still delay it as he was quite afraid of the consequences of inheriting the name of Prometheus, but choice not a privilege he has now...

Prometheus was glad upon seeing how Thomas had fully decided to fulfill his duty even after guessing what would happen once everything is complete.

"My last wish is to see somebody master all my abilities and use it to craft a true and complete divine artifact. Only then will I feel complete as my true spirit returns to the embrace of Chaos."

Thomas' expression turned stern. While Luminous Ark was given the label, it should still fall upon the level of a mortal artifact given it's status.

If he could guess, Unique is like a sub-grade that could befall any artifact.

An example would be that many artifacts of the same type or share the same name could exist but if there is only one artifact like it in both design, name and attributes, then it would be seen as Unique. Another example would be the spear of Ares.

In all of his live how many spears did that god of war collected? Even if he was given one, it shouldn't be the only spear he's ever wielded.

"As you know, in all my life I as a the blacksmith I had never found a successor to my abilities. After I was imprisoned by Zeus a even greater blacksmith rose to fame, Hephaestus. His fame grew so much that people even forgot that I was the one who forged the divine weapons of Zeus, Hades and Poseidon."

"While Hephaestus was a master in combining mechanical parts into amazing pieces of machinery like the automated dolls he used to put in defense of his palace or to guard treasures in dungeons to attract courageous heroes and heroines wishing for glory and fortune. Mine technique focus on bending nature itself and making it into a weapon. It's how I captured a thunderbolt from the skies of Gaia and turned it into the most iconic weapon used by Zeus."

The moment the the titan's thunderous voice echoed in the halls, the system alarm sounded in his mind followed by multiple notifications.

[Alert: Prometheus, The Firegiver wishes to transmit the skill]

[Alert: Prometheus, The Firegiver wishes to teach the skill ]

[Accept All? Y/N?]

[Alert: Accepting the knowledge will initiate Prometheus' final quest.]

Final Quest: The Blacksmith Titan

Requirements for completion: Forge an artifact of minimum divine rank using all the skills learned from Prometheus.

Rewards: Race change to ,, Attributes of Divinity and Faith liberated, Prometheus True Name.

Expiration: Three Months. (In case of expiration, total loss of status and User will be sent back moments before acquiring the System)

Thomas gulped, he understood very well what those words meant. Losing the system and returning to the point moments before he received it isn't the same as a death sentence.

It's clear the system was forcing him to give everything to complete this quest or die trying. But if this truly happens, wouldn't everything he's done until now be completely pointless?

He felt anger deep down but knew this was to be expected, how could the system provide so many advantages without demanding any price. For whatever is the system's true purpose, it's clear it would only accept successes, and any losers would be denied of any right of speech.

"Fine, give me everything. I'll make sure to complete this challenge."
