Seeing as Thomas lost consciousness. The batsmen exchanged looks, the black lion asked. "What do we do now?"
"We let him live, for now. He's still of some value to my master who needs this boy alive. I'll take him to Beleval first, and you two, go back to your tribe and make sure you don't arouse suspicion."
"Yes, Sir!" "Yes, Sir!" The 7-star Twilight Lion and a 5-star Water Lion respectfully bowed then took off to Aaron along with their tribesmen, leaving only the tall lizard-man and the unconscious Thomas
Taking the youth's small body along in it's green-scaled arms.
Quite some time has passed and the two of them swiftly crossed the mountain range and approaching the fallen city of Glamadon.
Thomas who had been silent the whole journey suddenly opened both eyes.
Something burst from within Thomas body and little by little it began to expand.
Noticing the weight of the boy increase, Jivan, the Lizard-man turned his head down and saw a bright pair of eyes looking straight at him.
'Oh, no."
Booooom!
Freeing himself from Jivan's grip, Thomas leaped across the lizard-man's head then landed a couple steps away.
With his back facing his opponent, Thomas tattered shit was contrasting with the endless whiteness of the area.
'I have been brought quite far indeed.' Thought Thomas as he recognized this as the Chrion Snowy Mountain located very close to the city of Glamadon that the Krias had wiped out. It was very cold in terms of temperature, but Thomas couldn't feel it even while shirtless.
Jivan, upon seeing Thomas awake, glared at him in annoyance then noticed all scars, cuts and bruises had disappeared from the young man's body as if it never even existed.
"How is this possible!? Didn't I break your foundation?" The Lizard-headed man was quite shocked by Thomas recovery. When he was first sent to capture Thomas, his Master told him that breaking the demon pearl would make Thomas completely harmless.
Without energy nor the ability to transform, he would have no way of fighting back. If added his injuries it would even come as a surprise if Thomas is even able to survive.
When he was attacked, it wasn't like Thomas couldn't have won but in the end he chose not to. During his time in this world, he came to know that beasts aren't so different from humans and even upon a critical moment of life and death. He couldn't bring himself to be completely heartless, even if the ones before him are enemies, specially when he was afraid of losing himself to the demonic nature desires.
It's that moment of weakness that cost him his demon pearl as well his physique that is not crippled.
Now, he won't do the same mistake twice. Thomas swore to himself to never show weakness before an enemy, even if it turns him into the devil he will never let that happen.
This resolution lit up a fire in his heart as his own mentality adapted and grew with his realization.
Maintaining a certain distance from Thomas, the lizard-man Jivan tried to analyze the boy's condition. Immediately, he felt the breath of life Thomas released with every breath had become increasingly dense.
And it wasn't something that only affected Thomas himself as even the frozen grass and little trees reacted to him, as if it gained some kind of brilliance.
But what truly attracted his gaze was the very clear, almost indiscernible shadow raise behind Thomas.
"Cough, cough. Yes, you did break my pearl and now I've lost some power." said Thomas as he spat out a mouthful of blood onto the snowy ground, proving that he's still injured even if his spotless body showed no sign of it. "And just because of that, you aren't going to leave this place alive."
With little time, the shadow expanded to over ten, twenty, thirty meters before stopping. The shadow looked exactly like Thomas, and in it's hands lied a giant rusted spear.
The shadowy giant ran towards the lizardman who felt shivers down his spine as he sensed the level of danger.
He tried to draw back, but then hundred upon hundreds of ghostly humanoid hands popped everywhere, blocking all exits.
"No!" Changing the course, he advanced towards Thomas instead. Thinking killing the boy would make the giant and the hands that made him feel unapparelled threat disappear.
Puchi*
A bloody claw pierced through Thomas' chest as the young man didn't even raise his guard nor tried to defend for himself.
"Hehe." Laughing instead, he held onto the claw. Grabbing it so strongly that Jivan couldn't even move himself away.
Within this brief couple of seconds, the giant shortened the distance as the whole earth shook with every step it made.
"No! Die you bastard." Seeing as he couldn't escape from Thomas grip, Jivan started attacking the youth desperately.
Scratching his body and attacking with everything he had, Thomas was quickly beaten. His body looked even worse than the Lizardman's, but the boy didn't flinch.
Looking at his eyes, all Jivan could seen was the flames of pure madness as well a total detachment from the rest of the world as complete lack of care to his own flesh and bones.
He was sure now Thomas would dare anything to kill his enemy, if it meant dragging himself along with it.
A giant spear came crashing from above like a decree of heaven, smashing both Thomas and the Lizard-man in a instant.
"Stop, we are both going to die...." Releasing his last breaths, the lizard-man's consciousness blurred before collapsing. Thomas' eyes contained no shred of fear as during the whole time as he watched the Spear of Ares take Jivan's life.
Thomas then looked down at his himself, if he had a mirror he would seen the present him was looking more like a zombie than anything else. Some bits and pieces of body body were missing or smashed along with the Lizard-man, but even so under a greenish brilliance all the cuts and bloody holes began to mend and close by itself at a visible speed.
Only that the green-scaled claw still remained stuck at his chest this whole time.
"Urg." Gently pushing it away, blood sputtered from the giant hole in his chest that was so big even his beating heart and broken glassy pearl could be seen.
Green radiance emerged from his pores, heading straight to the big hole patching it up in a matter of two to three minutes.
Seeing how his own blood has dyed the snowy landscape red, Thomas was startled by his own skill. Another couple minutes passed and emotion finally filled Thomas' empty eyes once more.
