Before Thomas could respond to the mysterious man, he was forcefully dragged back to reality where he rested in one of the rooms in the Earthly Core Tribe.
Instead of getting up, he turned up to the yellow chain in his wrist. "Won't you tell me what was that?"
The familiar voice resounded, but this time it seemed more natural and less robotic as if it held true intelligence, even throwing out it's former way of speaking. "So you found out? No, I guess you knew it for some time already."
"That you aren't part of the system but an external entity, yeah. Thankfully, there is a section of the demon physique inherited memories that tell about objects which held it's own soul and intelligence. At that time I found hard to believe it, objects with a soul? Hell, all of that seemed so out of this world, at least until I though the world has always been quite the crazy place. I don't even remember picking you up, this yellow chain simply appeared on my wrist. I couldn't help but think there was something strange you appeared entire two to three years before the system. "
For a moment, the yellow chain stopped. It's voice was full of a strange emotion. "Fine, I guess it is time I come clean."
Thomas felt his mind pulled to a distance place, to a place he's been before the world of darkness where a single light shone.
But he wasn't all alone now, a golden rain fell from which a silhouette stood out. An little being the size of a hand with elfish features, golden hair and a pair of butterfly wings.
"Fairy?!" Thomas blurted out when the saw the exact same figure of many stories.
For a moment, the fairy seemed somewhat angry at his words and corrected. "Not a fairy, I'm a Rae. A type of spiritual lifeform born from an inanimate object." It then pointed with tiny finger at the brilliant sun lighting up this world of darkness. "And that is my true form."
Thomas followed his gaze and stated at the huge ball of light and flames. "The sun?"
"Not the sun, look carefully."
Doing as he was told, Thomas noticed something inside the huge sun, a object at the core of the sun which couldn't be totally seen due to the numerous golden chains tied around it tightly.
What especially attracted his attention was the golden chains, which held a powerful supportive force all directed at the sun. His expression than changed.
Seeing as he understood it, fairy like being continued. "At least you are quite quick witted. That sun, no, the core of the sun is your true soul and this place is similar to the sea of consciousness where the purest essence of every being lies. My real identity is of the Heaven's Sealing Chain and I don't belong to this universe."
Thomas didn't need much to see he was being told truth. "If it's not this universe, where you came from?"
"I don't know, don't remember most of my memories only that this is not the universe I come from. Differently from the theories held in your world about parallel realities and multiverse. Reality doesn't work that way, every soul, every world and every universe are unique entities working with it's own set of laws and system. But I won't deny anything is possible as long you haven't seen yet." The fairy continued. "it was only around ten years ago that I woke up and have been wandering through the cosmos until I came across you. I felt you held something special inside you, something whose laws didn't originate from this universe. It was inactive at the time, but I could feel it. It may even originate from the same place."
"But when I went inside you. Instead of fading what I wanted I saw something much, much worse... Your soul. A mortal soul whose dimension was far above the level of a mortal, a soul whose sheer existence could rival the universe itself. Worse is that once I came inside, I found out it was impossible to leave. Urrr, It's scary every time I remember it." The fairy showed terrified face as he recalled what he had seen.
"So why did you seal my soul?" From this point Thomas wasn't sure what the fairy meant by his soul being so powerful. Wasn't all souls like his, or maybe it is because of it he was given the system... For now he didn't know if he should be angry or not at the little fairy.
"Because I didn't want to be found out. During these ten years I noticed there is a another foreign being like me but much more powerful. He's opening holes between the planes and smaller dimensions and fortifying the beings of this universe then harvesting their souls. It's a ominous being I don't want anything to do with and since I was stuck with you, I could only use my sealing powers to lower your soul to a reasonable level."
