In the residence of the Earthly Core Lions.
The leader and strongest beast within tribe was in the waiting with the elders when a convoy led by majestic light-blue lion warriors arrived.
It was the convoy of the Water Lion Tribe and it's tribal chief, Datir, an expert on the same level as him.
The Earthly Core Tribe's Chief felt nervous as his eyes the group that arrived. With every second, his daughter's condition grew worse to the point she couldn't even recognize her family anymore. Suddenly, a voice from the back of the group brought him back from the depths of his thoughts "Kajaha, I see you are doing fine."
"Datir..." Kajaha, the old 5-star beast growled internally as he mumbled while holding back his hostility. He already expected seeing the chief of the Water Lions here, but even so seeing the old beast's face made him disheartened.
'There is no other way. Nana couldn't arrive in time...'
Guiding the Water Lions to the great tribal hall, both sides faced each other for a unknown amount of time when Kajaha was the one to speak first. "Do you have it?"
The water lion chief made a signal to his people and then two blue lions came carrying a big golden box.
Kajaha narrowed his eyes, his nose immediately catching the potent medicinal scent coming from the box. Forged about a grade 4 potion, he believes even the scent weren't as concentrated.
Datir sneered upon seeing the longing gaze Kajaha threw at the golden box. With a wave of his hand the servants retreated, taking the box to the back of the group which was guarded by thirty 4-star warriors.
The elders and all members of the leadership of the Earthly Core Tribe Frowned. Despite their tribe being of the same level as the Water Lions by having one 5-star expert each, the latter had over twice the amount of 4-star warriors.
With his high defense as a earth-element beast and held quite the advantage against water-element beasts, it was hard to guess what would happen if the Water Lions were to attack them at full power.
It was clear no other tribe would meddle and simply wait as one of the sides fell before pouncing on the whoever is left standing and then taking all the benefits.
Seeing as the head of the tribe was silent, Datir smiled with a distain clear in his face. "So will you accept our offer or not?"
"I..." No matter how much he lived, this sort of decision was too much for him. If he didn't do anything, he would lone one of his dearest. However, if he did save her, it would cost all his daughters, event the fate of the entire tribe would be in trouble.
No matter which way, it can only end badly. At this point he was already clear about the primal fever, most beasts had no way of progressing through evolution because of it.
"No, this isn't just about my daughters." How could he not know the true objective of the Water Lion Chief in front of him. He may very well be the one behind all the unforeseen that has befallen his youngest daughter.
Datir certainly knows I have seen the Sage, but since the latter identity is too problematic to deal with, he would rather delay the gathering of the materials for the medicine so he could push his own medicine in exchanging for marrying the three young misses to his sons.
After what seemed like centuries, the old yellow lion slowly raised his paw, about to negate the offer when his lady whom had been in the shed with the first young miss came running as fast she could then saying something on his ear.
His somber expression immediately brightened up but not before he suppressed it.
"Is it true?"
"En, en..." His wife nodded repeatedly to his words with a big grin on her face which was hidden to the water lions who could only see her back.
Breathing deeply, the somber expression returned to his face, in fact it seemed way worse than it was before. His eyes welled up in tears and he used his left paw to sweep it away.
"We shouldn't be talking about business right now. Dear, tell everyone to prepare a banquet to our visit."
"Yes, my husband." The shy lioness nodded before heading to the kitchen following by her female servants.
