It was just as he was though. His actions at Xamak mountain made so all their forces hiding in the road retreated back and the journey to the city was extremely smooth.
During the couple of days, Thomas did met with some small trouble, but it did not cause his speed to be reduced.
He still wasn't used atmosphere of this but this is something he couldn't change though he believed It would be way worse if he hadn't lived in mars.
After some recovery during these couple of days, Thomas had recovered by about ninety percent. Even the injuries caused by the purging of his Anima Energy were getting better with time.
Also taking four hours daily to study formations as well as a little bit of blacksmithing, Thomas felt he was growth was being very well. When he faced any doubts about some things, he would enter the Hall of Gods to receive tips for his training or increase his synchronization with the deities.
Since then he also made some experiments with the unnamed attribute, for some reason it would not increase by using his AP from him nor was he able to add more points to his demonic attribute. Whatever he tried to increase it, this message appeared.
[The requirements for this action are not fulfilled.]
Without any way to know more about it, Thomas gave up and focused on more urgent matters such as the Baleful Aura in his heart dele.
While it stopped all outbursts after that one time, it did not make his heart dele peaceful at all since it only felt like the moment of peace right before the storm.
At one point Thomas was seated cross-legged in a somewhat simple tent he build to pass night before reaching the city tomorrow.
He took some of the genetic improving drug, and the drops of demonic energy condensed out of the mist his body exhaled before following his breath as they poured into his demon pearl.
The Demonic Energy within Thomas's body was increasing a little at a time as well his foundations got sturdier. He finally found the right balance between his energy and physical training, which made him have better control of his abilities.
This training continued for a long time. Only when a weird sound reached his ears had he showed a signs of waking up from his trance.
Immediately, there was a shock that was difficult to hide within his eyes.
Thomas slowly widened his hands and his eyes fell upon the tall walls of Aaron far away in the distance then to a rising black smoke around two hundred meters away from his position. With his senses focused, he spotted several bright dots representing the living entities.
But of course the most surprising of all wasn't the fact there were others nearby but the familiar auras he felt in there.
"This strange force, is it a element? Wait, I can feel it... Nana and the others are right there."
Thomas felt it was strange, given he left them and gone to Xamak Mountain then ran back, they should have already reached the city so why is still here?
He thought for a while before deciding to go check it out.
Storing back his belongings, Thomas jumped into a near shadow and moved straight towards their camp.
In seconds, Thomas appeared right inside the camp as he could see the Little Lioness Nana alone in her tent as a flying beast landed next to her.
The flying beast which species he didn't know weaved its beak then spat a thin paper note before extending its wings and flying back towards the city.
As soon she received the paper, the little lioness expression suffered a subtle yet immediate change as she froze.
Thomas didn't thought she had discovered him since even the ape king whose abilities included illusion had difficulty in noticing him, much less a much weaker beast like Nana.
Shadow projection was a skill that was able to change both his surroundings and himself by relying on the surrounding shadows as well his demonic energy. The both compiled produced this hyper realistic illusion which could fool most humans with high tech scans, not to mention a weaker beast like Nana.
So as long he kept away from any strong sources of light, he should be able to be unnoticed unless he wants to be seen.
Her pretty eyes moved while her small lion face slowly turned ice-cold, with a glint of fury even flashing across her eyes.
"Third Young miss, what has happened?" Gask asked with a deep voice as he entered the tent.
"It is a letter dad sent me, it says my sister's condition had worsened and she doesn't much time. Because of our delay, we couldn't bring the herbs to treat her soon so even if we return now, there is enough time to prepare the medicine. The Water Lion Tribe offered a certain medicine which they had in store that could potentially cure her, but the price..." Nana clenched her paws and punched the ground as slightly while she spoke with an angry voice.
Gask frowned and asked. "What is this price?"
Nana eyelashes blinked slightly, she clearly didn't want to say but then spoke as she had no other choice. "They promised to give this medicine if my two sisters are to marry their tribe's eldest son. The marriage must happen within this week and they wanted to organize my engagement with their youngest son."
Gask was furious. "Dammit! What do we do then? There is no way the Lord would accept it."
"I think I can help with it." It was then that a familiar voice sounded right next to their ears, scarring both of them.
