The dense forest was quiet and serene. Occasionally, he would see some flying beasts crossing the sky.
The serene atmosphere lasted for a short while before it was suddenly disrupted by a tall figure which run as fast he could not daring to look back.
The distressful ape scurried away. His terrified face would sweep a glance, looking out for the ancient beast chasing after him.
After running for some distance, the ape saw another group of beasts in the distance. An uncontrolled expression of happiness appeared on its face as the ape tried to call for his brothers.
He didn't expect the hairless beast would be that scary, that evil eyes and claws made him shiver even now, yet still he believed as long help came, he would no longer need to fear death.
The Ape Beast saw a opening and suddenly charged forward. He jumped and swiftly moved from tree to tree.
Instantly, his figure shot towards the light with an explosive force.
Getting closer and closer to his allies, the happiness on the mercenary's face grew increasingly denser. However, a moment later, the happiness transformed in surprise as the Ape realized that his body wouldn't move not matter how much he tried.
Looking downwards, a circle of runes had been drawn on the ground from where thin treads tied his body feet deep in the ground. Not only that as a even stronger suction forcefully halt his advance, as if a huge hand had grabbed him, the saw his own body being pulled his body against his will.
A look of complete despair appeared on his face. Before this, his king had sent his group of ten as well many others to look for this beast, but right then his group's captain was ensnared by a pretty primate beast their saw in the forest.
His captain then killed the husband living in the house and rushed to the female with its huge body when he saw a purple flash then darkness. In the next second, the captain's lifeless body fell on the ground with a hole hole on his chest.
Immediately later, the bodies of his comrades fell one after one and as the only survivor he had no chose but to run as fast he could.
"Brothers! Come he..." Before the finish, a purple figure stood at his side. An enormous, shockwave accompanied by a the sound of heavy thunder smashed heavily onto his head.
"Bang!" The deep muffled sound caused the mercenary to shut his eyes tightly as his whole head sinking into his body.
Words he couldn't understand sounded next to his as he felt his own mind draw towards the hand which pressed against his head.
Numerous images flashed past Thomas who in his Moonshadow Form was able to quickly assimilate.
Sun-moon Demonic Body Level 2 (1793/2760)
When he got everything he needed, he gave another punch, this time the enormous force caused the ape to crash painfully into the ground, reducing its body to a mass of blood and fur.
The eyes of the purple demon stared coldly as the scene he just made, in fact this whole scene of murder didn't even move him at all. Even through he didn't feel any influence from the baleful aura this time, he noted he indeed got a little more bloodthirsty than before.
"So the way to the mountains is there..." Thomas now knew where the Xamak Mountain was located as well a lot of important information about their background and strengths.
On the next day.
The Xamak mountains were quite far away so it was almost sunset by the time he arrived in the depths of the Xamak territory.
As he got closer, the population of beasts and scattered beast tribes increased. In fact most lived in the outskirts of the mountain, with only the king and his tribe occupant the mountain.
Packs of beasts were all staring at him as he approached wreaking a long black cloak which covered most of his body and a mask to cover his facial features.
The large amount of beasts were all startled. Beast wore no clothes no matter which species were they, so the vision of "Beast?" walking on two legs covered in layers upon layers of cloth was a first to them.
A white wolf was the first to walk towards him. The wolf gave a quick look at Thomas before asking. "Are you fine brother?"
Thomas didn't respond and only gave a small nod with his head before passing a piece of paper.
"Huh?" The wolf was confused yet he received the paper note than read it.
[Star away because tonight, the evil king shall fall.] The wolf hurriedly searched for the beast who gave him the paper but couldn't find him anymore.
Thomas repeated it with all the beasts that came to him. Along the way Thomas had seen multiple tents and wooden houses, in them lived families of beasts living in peace and harmony which was quite contradictory to his past beliefs.
However it wasn't the time to ponder about how human these beast felt to him, his only reason was to shut up the ape that had seen his face so he wouldn't have trouble later.
Continuing on his way to the mountain, Thomas spotted multiple barricades build around the mountain and tall apes blocking the passage to a cave.
Instead of acting, Thomas went to stare at the sky, waiting for the last straight of sunlight vanished. With snow white moon rising in the sky, Thomas felt a tingling in the stomach as his Sunlight Demon Energy completed the transition to Moonshadow Demon Energy.
In less than a second, Thomas entered his demon form.

The beast didn't have another source of light other than fire and so everything went dark fairly quick. By the time it darkened, all the beasts which were on the mountain outskirts moments away were nowhere to be seen.
"Good, it seems the message reached them all." Form this mere action, he knew the other beasts left to give him space to deal with the apes.
Despite the darkness, Thomas didn't face any problem as he vision worked mostly fine in the dark since it was one of the abilities of the Moonshadow Demon.
"Now!" The Apes were patrolling the area while holding pieces of wood lit on fire. Seeing a opening, Thomas sneaked past the brushes and behind the four to five apes before heading into the cave.
This cave was like the stronghold of the Ghost Ape Tribe, and it connected the whole mountain through numerous passages.
With his trait of the
From the memories of the apes whose souls were refined, Thomas learned the whole structure of the Ghost Ape Tribe.
Being a species of the fourth grade, they were unremarkable beasts that only had some power in the outer area of the mountain range. The strongest within the tribe is their king, Kuijar, who is a mutant species considered a Initial 5th Grade beast and a battle power of Six Stars.
In earth and mars, his battle power would be categorized under the peak Elite Adept, but his bloodline grade and innate abilities put him slightly stronger than the Average 1-star Master Adept.
Under him was three commanders with 5-star battle power and a total of one hundred and eighty two Ghost Apes bellow that level. With Thomas' current strength, he could easily be deemed invincible under the Master Adept Level, and even some Master Adepts if he had used formations to boost his power.
Since their rule started, all the beasts of other species were kicked out of the mountain and only allowed to live in its outskirts. Their treatment was also horrible, with the apes constantly picking on weaker beasts to bully as they wished.
In fact the only reason the Ghost Apes let the weaker beasts live near here is because the Ghost Apes are a carnivore species and so they wouldn't need to hunt as long none of the beasts knows they were doing it.
At first Thomas plan was only to look for the king who had seen his face, but as he saw more memories of the Ghost Ape's evil actions he grew angrier and angrier.
