'This mysterious expert is too powerful. I need to find a way to get the little miss to safety.' His eyes then turned to the fallen lions. Their strongest were only 3 Star and 4 Star Beasts of Grade 4, their bodies were extremely resilient. It's impossible for them to be defeated in a single blow like this
The expression of the earthly core lions turned pale-white as only Gask and a few more remained awake. Gask knew there were powerful beasts living in the mountain, but never would he expect to meet one here. Their tribe gathers herbs from the solitary lake for quite some and yet no accident has ever happened.
A 3,4 meters tall black ape stood tall before the group of lions, his body and limbs were covered with jet black fur. Two thin horns adorns its swollen head, which itself is thick as leather. A constant plume of black smoke escapes the ape's loose nostrils with his every breath
The tall Ape looked down at the convoy from above. He suddenly laughed as he casually said, "I guess introductions are needed, right? This one here is the king of Xamak Mountain, The Black Ape King, Kuijar."
The moment when he spoke his name, two bright red dots lit under his pupils, in mere instants, his body shrunk down to a size similar to humans while still maintaining his Ape form.
Gask's face trembled a little. Most beast didn't like to live in cities, all the truly strong ones would live in the forests, mountains and sea. and so it was pretty hard to live outside the cities since the competition would be a lot fiercer than within the city walls.
Considering most beast didn't like to live in cities, all the truly strong ones would live in the forests, mountains and sea. A formidable power to claim even the smallest mountain and even so the ownership could change hands in a matter of seconds.
Worst is that the previous King of Xamak mountain used to be their Tribe's friend which made it easy when they had to gather herbs close to the deadlands.
Now with a new beast on power, will things be just like in the past? Just from the countenance of the beast, Gask already guessed the answer was a big no. However, as the strongest of the convoy it was his responsibility to solve this problem.
Taking out a piece of a hexagonal crystal, gave a small bow before offering the crystal. "I didn't know the ownership of Xamak Mountain has changed. Have this Magical Crystal as tribute."
The ape's eyes narrowed, "This King does not need it, somebody else has already paid this king."
Feeling the killing intent in the atmosphere intensify, all the earthly core lions were pressed down by the powerful aura the Ape emitted. Beast were more sensible to killing intent than other races so the entire convoy immediately knew this Ape King was here to kill them, and he was paid for it.
"King of Xamak Mountain, If you attack us, the head of the Early Core Tribe and the Elders will definitely not let you off!" One of the lions immediately cried out furiously when noticed the ape king's killing intent.
"Do I care about those small tribes that run off to these cities? I am not afraid even if your tribe's chief had a 6-star battle power which I'm sure he doesn't." The tall ape Laughed maniacally. After which, clenched his firsts, and threw a heavy punch at the ground.
The earth shook and tumbled. None of the lions was able to keep their feet on the ground and fell over.
The carriages carrying the herbs back to the city cracked, dropping all the contents on the ground.
"Hii!" A childish scream rang out from behind the carriages at that moment but before the voice reached far, a hand blocked the thin mouth.
"Shh." Looking up, Nana saw Thomas with a serious face while putting his finger on his lips, a sign she didn't understand, but still managed to held off her voice and not make anymore sound.
Now he was mostly recovered, Thomas amber eyes glowed as he unleashed his senses throughout the area.
Instantly the levels of all the beasts in the region of 100 meters were revealed to him. "One Master and six peak elite, its going to be slightly troublesome."
Other than the tall Ape which claimed to be a king, Thomas noticed several bright red dots hidden in the bushes and behind the trees, surely they are not allies.
"Haa!" Gask knew conflict couldn't be avoided and unleashed a similar pressure out of his body. Leaving afterimages, the old lion swiftly reached the Ape whose speed wasn't enough to follow the former's movements.
Swwwwosh!
With his claws infused with earthen yellow energy, Gask clashed with the Tall ape. The latter was clearly much stronger, but Gask wasn't that much far behind.
'KYAA!' A small cut was made on the ape's face. The anger on his eyes suddenly multiplied as his large hand smashed against the lion, throwing him onto a near tree.
Landing some distance away, Gask could feel his frontal paws hurting at it took some effort of his part to deal.
Kuijar still wasn't believing in what he saw. How could a weaker beast cause any damage to him, waving his hand as a signal, six large shadows dropped from the sky.
While they were not on the same level as the Ape King, their auras weren't that much weaker than his.
"There is no need to let them live, kill them all." Hearing their king's order, the apes held up their weapons unleashed their attack on the fallen beasts.
Slash!
The black apes headed to kill the fallen lions that couldn't fight, a flash of light covered the sky. When their blades were inches away from the lions, their bodies suddenly stiffened. Immediately, they emitted a puff sound as each one of the apes felt their legs numb right before their entire lower halves were disconnected.
They all collapse onto a pool of their own blood as rain of orange water bullets down from the sky. Within a short instant, six bodies were completely destroyed beyond any recognition.
One, two, three... Full sixteen illusory runes gathered in the air. Dividing into groups of three, the runes melted then unleashed a crescent moon shaped light towards the big ape.
"Huh?" The crescent moon light was really fast, and The Ape King didn't even had the time to realize the death of his subordinates due to the strong danger these light passed to him.
Without thinking, he jumped high in order to dodge the lights when a bright golden glow blinded his eyes.
A dark gold spear covered in cracks rushed straight at the ape's lower body, cutting the nerves behind his legs, making he lose balance.
When he landed, a second figure landed right next to to the bloody ape. His face and body were covered by a thick layer of orange mist so others couldn't even get a better look at him.
"Who are you?" The Ape was too scared in that moment, but the figure being his eyes was so mysterious he couldn't help by ask.
"Who I am is not of your concern." Thomas grabbed the ape by the neck and then with a quick attack at the beast's neck, the latter lost all traces of consciousness and collapse.
