Night gradually vanished and the three suns rose once more. Feeling the his body dele reinvigorate, Thomas left the tent Gask and the others prepared for him.
Seeing he was up, Gask who was helping tidy things up before they leave, sighed in relief. He smiled and asked Thomas, "are you feeling better?"
Thomas nodded. "I little, the sunlight has increased my recovery by a lot."
"Move out of the way!" A loud scream was heard as Thomas noticed that from a pile of logs, a single log dropped off the pile and flew straight at him.
"Ries..." Gask mobilized his energy from him as he dashed towards Thomas when he stopped in the spot. "Oh..."
Srrr!
The wind soared as a large claw cut straight through the ironwood log, splitting it in half.
"Third Young Miss."
The little lion miss landed right next to the split log, 'Uwu, my paw is hurting."
She cried as she put her sore paw in her mouth, then made an experience of relief.
'This... I didn't expect this little lioness to have some ability.' When he saw her the first time, Thomas knew she didn't have much energy, only around the 1-star adept level. Yet, contrary to his expectations, her body was resilient and highly powerful, l even as cub.
Well, the bodies of beasts had always been better than humans, but this is the first time got to see a beast making a move outside a life and death battle.
Since he didn't feel comfortable in sitting by and wait. Thomas offered to help dismantle while the lions carried all the heavy weight.
He smiled as he watched these huge lions, who had drunk until they collapsed the night before all working with flushed expressions.
Getting to chat with them, it felt strangely familiar how human-like was the interactions between these magical beasts.
Since he didn't felt comfortable in sitting by and wait. Thomas offered to help dementor while the lions carried all the heavy weight.
He smiled as he watched these huge lions, who had drunk until they fainted last night. Now, they all worked with flushed faces and drowsy eyes.
Getting to chat with them, it felt strangely familiar how human-like was the interactions between these magical beasts.
"Brother Monkey, here. Drink a some water to refresh your body and eat some of this. It's warm in here." A laugh suddenly sounded while Thomas was carrying the last set of dismantled tents into the carriage.
Immediately, the water canteen followed by a piece of bread flew toward him. Thomas instinctively grabbed it. After which, he raised his head to look at a lion tribesman he met today. He then smiled with a nod. "Thank you brother."
After saying this, he gulped two mouthfuls of water. For some reason, the canteen was enchanted with a low level rune which kept the water inside cold and fresh. Feeling the nice, cold water flowing down his throat caused a satisfied expression to surface on his face.
If one month ago, somebody said he would be this close to a tribe of magical lions that could speak, he would certainly laughed it off.
Once they got back on the roar, Thomas who was alone, sat at the back of a carriage.
Checking to see if anybody could see him, Thomas closed his eyes.
The familiar hall appeared once more, and waiting for him was the same good looking demon he remembered.
"Kez, do you know what is happening with me?"
[As we talked about before. All demons share the same baleful aura, which some may call the primal demon instinct. I didn't think it would appear this soon since only pure-blooded demons and beasts would have it. I believe it is that demon nature is trying to take over your human side and this all happened before the demon prince pushed your beyond your limits.]
"So will I keep losing control of my powers, this I understand. Let me see, is there are way to completely dominate over them?"
[Even if I knew, I'm just a remnant of my former self, my knowledge is limited. If a cure truly exists, many noble demons wouldn't have died or lost themselves to insanity. One thing I can say is this, don't be reliant of us, the system may serve as a assistance, but don't let it cloud your eyes, some things only you must deal with.]
Thomas seemed to ponder for a moment but he nodded and spoke to himself. "He's right, I shouldn't let myself forget it."
After that, Kez'ganak vanished, leaving only Thomas. Now alone in the hall, Thomas gave a look at the yellow chain on his wrist.
"Is there really no way? Wait, how can I forget it! System I have access to all previous memories I have seen right? Then put all those memories in sequence for me to see, I also need to assimilate the memories of Kez now that I have time."
[Master, are you sure? The system prevents any of the deities' personalities take over as you experience their lives but Mass Synchronization is different. It poses a whole next level of stress into a human brain.]
"I know, even if it poses I only want the memories of the deities I have synchronized with."
After a moment of silence, came the notification.
[Mass Synchronization is starting... Re-creating the memories of all synchronized deities....]
As he waited for it to start, Thomas thought. "All I have now is because of the system. If there is a problem with the physique, only the system can help me."
