Chapter 94 - Alien

Thomas was sleeping soundly when a sudden bump woke him up. The painful feeling of knocking his head expelled all exhaustion in his body.

'What just happened.' With eyes closed, Thomas thought back to the past few moments and he struggled to open his eyes.

A wood ceiling entered his eyes which was fairly strange since such long pieces of wood were almost inexistent due to the lack of it.

Thomas pressed his hand over his chest, feeling highly unstable baleful aura had gotten weaker. Thinking back, what was in that lake water?

The Quantum Computer wasn't able to detect any harmful substance, yet it somehow provoked that kind of violent reaction from himself...

Curious, Thomas went to ask if demon lord Kez knew anything about it but his answer was disappointing.

Once he confirmed his own body wasn't in danger, Thomas' eyes swept around him. Immediately, he understood where he was. He was something similar to one of the oldest vehicles made by humanity, a carriage.

Well, at least it reminded him of one, however, the sizes and design was completely different from what you could find in a museum.

So I was found by inhabitants of this planet. Wait, am I in a alien carriage?!

Surprised to find wooden carriages in this planet, Thomas looked at the clothes on his body and was stunned for a moment.

"Oh god, I am a mess!!" Despite his body being cleaner than when he fainted, there is no doubt he was in a sorry state after facing weeks of starvation.

His eyes changed as he stared through the walls of the carriage, several beings covered in a layer of green light.

After which, he suddenly recalled something and hurriedly looked down at his wrist and sighed in relief to see the computer was still there.

"Young one, have you woken?" Hearing a voice, the curtain of the carriage was and Thomas nearly screamed when he saw a big yellow Lion walking into the carriage.

Thomas was shocked to see the demonic beast and nearly drew out his weapon before stopping... Despite knowing it was safe given the green halo of light over the lion, he couldn't help but stay cautious.

His eyes swept over the lion, he couldn't see clearly due to his injuries, but knew this beast wasn't weak.

Seeing Thomas wasn't responding, the lion's lips raised in a smile. "Have I scared you? Sorry, our convoy discovered while collecting herbs. Originally, we thought that you wouldn't survive after seeing your injuries. Even now, we have nothing to treat your injuries, only in Aaron city can we find somebody give a better look at you."

The lion extended his paw, after a moment of hesitation he grabbed the paw and shook it. "Thanks then. By the way my name is Ries, a human."

"Human? What is human?" The Lion curved his head in puzzlement.

"My species, I am human."

His expression brightened. "Ahh, human? You look like a monkey."

"My species and theirs are indeed somewhat related."

After hearing this, the Lion Gask dropped his guard. "I see, I never seen an species of hairless monkey. Now that you said so much it would be rude of me to not introduce myself. Gask is my name, I'm a beast of Earthly Core Tribe. And instead of mister, you can call me brother."

Seeing this human didn't understood he asked, unsure. "Wait... You really don't know anything about the place you were before? The deadlands, its a forbidden place. There's an deadly force lying there, so no one is been able to return once inside. Well, it doesn't matter now. Since you're awake, I should bring you to see the third young miss, she's the one that found you."

"Alright." Thomas agreed and decided to follow Gask. Then just as they were about to leave, Thomas noticed he heard something wrong and asked. "Wait, you said you are a beast, not a demonic beast?"

Gask paused. "...Demonic Beast? I don't know what that is. Come, young miss is right over there."

The convoy had already paused to rest during the night, exiting the carriage, Thomas saw over twenty lions, all wearing different clothes and chatting among themselves just likes human would.

On the way to the third young miss private carriage, Thomas and the lion Gask got to talk a little bit more.

"Fine. Err, brother Gask, may I inquire where exactly am I?" Thomas hesitated for a moment before abruptly asking.

"That's right. Er, mister, may I inquire where exactly am I?" Thomas hesitated for a moment before abruptly asking. He did not wish for himself to waste his time to pass through the Wormhole only to end up being randomly thrown to another location on the continent.

"Yes, were are close to the Verdan Mountain Range in Lavitein Isle, only a few miles away from the nearest city." Gask nodded his head. His face then changed as he asked with surprise, "Are you not from Lavitein Isle?"

"That's right. Er, mister, may I inquire where exactly am I?" Thomas hesitated for a moment before abruptly asking. He did not wish for himself to waste his time to pass through the Wormhole only to end up being randomly thrown to another location on the continent.

"Yes, this is the southern region of the Verdan Mountain Range in Lavitein Isle." Gask nodded his head. His face then changed as he asked with surprise, "Are you not from Lavitein Isle?"

Thomas' face lost its color when he thought back of his last moments on mars. He bitterly laughed. "I am from very far away, so no."

As soon he replied, an strange thought found its way inside his head. 'Wait, I keep calling them aliens in my mind, but with these circumstances, aren't I the alien here?'
