"Oh heavens, why didn't I store water before leaving home?! Now all I have is enough ration for the week and a single bottle of water. At least I can breathe in here, otherwise..." Two hours after he awakened in this desert planet, Thomas was finally getting used to the three suns and all the fire burning close to the ground.
The first thing he did was to put out his quantum computer that was still on 98% since he remembered to charge it before leaving the house.
Once it was turned on, he scanned the atmosphere he found that the whatever he was breathing isn't air. Firstly is that there is no traces of oxygen on the surface of this planet, even the air he was breathing is some sort of unknown element that is not registered in any his computer database but upon closer inspection didn't seem to be toxic since him being alive was proof of that.
No radiation was detected which is a good thing, but all sorts of unknown readings left him baffled.
Initial maps and constellations, at least what little he had seen, showed that this place is thousands of light years away from Earth and that is just a rough calculation.
Now, all he could do was hope to find a source of freshwater and maybe somebody he could talk to.
'Huh? A sandstorm?!' Far away, a huge waves of sand traveled the desert like a flash, swiftly closing the distance to him.
"Fuck, I should better run." Infusing energy at his feet, Thomas shot himself towards the opposite direction of the sand storm. Spotting a huge rock and a cave, Thomas didn't think twice and jumped straight into the cave.
"Nice, its a really small cave but should be enough for me." The cave was way smaller than he expected, not that it would be a problem though,
Now in a somewhat safe area, Thomas looked into the spatial storage. Good thing he had gone to the supermarket this morning, there is enough food to last over one week and a half. The only problem was the supply of water...
In a short time, Thomas pulled all kinds of things from his storage. Soon, the small and lonely cave transformed into a simple yet conformable room with a double bed, a large furnace, 560.000mh worth of battery and a portable solar generator he bought to use with his forging equipment.
Now with his temporary shelter ready, there was something else Thomas wanted to do. "It has been some time since I last synchronized, how is my lucky?"
Thomas simply didn't have any time to react or read the name of the deity. In a split second, years youth of memories and life experiences were sent straight into his soul.
He just felt as if the tip of a knife was repeatedly and maliciously stabbing into his brain without hesitation.
"Its good that I'm already so much stronger than before, but this pain is still a problem. No wonder I fainted those past times." Thomas already expected this to happen and yet it still hurt as hell. Immediately, new scenes appeared before his eyes as he fully immersed in his new body.
A multitude of complex and confusing memories emerged in his mind. Thomas saw a narrow fallen tower in a somber mountain base. Inside the fallen tower lies a modest, timeworn room. It's covered in crawling insects, rubble and crawling insects.
With his previous experience, Thomas was much calmer this time. The realistic insects and rats were a little too much, though.
An altar in the center is covered in runes, some which glowed and showed a reflection of himself. A shallow figure of a man whose eyes were empty inside, the meat on his face was decaying to the point even a few bones were seen.
'Strange, is this how I look like in here? The system didn't showed his name so I have no idea about what kind of deity is this...' Slightly stunned by the man's "Overwhelming" features.
"Oko Jhahah nyp pa, Si tuk ta vapa."
Hearing the words coming from his own mouth, Thomas felt his mind immediately translate to him, not that it made any easier to understand.
'Rune of heaven, gate of eternity?' He didn't understand much of what is being said, but looking again, the patterns on the altar looked a little familiar.
Making several hand motions, threads of energy shot into the ground, deploying several formations around the altar.
With the last two motions, two seals floated towards the altar from where a pillar of light emerged.
Eyes locked on the píllar shooting to the high heavens, the man leaped towards it without a second of hesitation.
Haaah!! Even though he was only inside the decaying old man, the pain the man felt was fully transmitted to him. Surprisingly it was way worse than prometheus with his liver-eating eagle and was more like his whole body was being destroyed and recreated over and over again.
In that instant, dark clouds gathered in the sky. a massive grey rift opened from where a severe and dark voice sounded, followed by thunder and lighting.
"Who dares to attack the border between realms?!"
the frail man within the pillar of light snorted upon seeing the heavenly lighting and thunder bringing the punishment of heavens.
"Olotf!" The dazzling power within the pillar of light, under his thoughts was fully directed towards the clouds.
Booooooom!
The heavens and earth shook and a the whole sky was thrown into a pit of fire.
The old sage watched as the gray lightning dragons ate his body, then watcher was left of his soul was pulled towards the center of the greyish vortex....[You have completed the sequence of memories. The synchronization the user has with Ἀχλύς has risen to 10%.]

"Runes, arrays, diagrams, talismans and formations… All of this is inside my head now." Opening his eyes, Thomas was surprised to find himself back at his improvised house.
Reviewing the memories in his mind, Thomas felt another headache creeping up. So the gray eyes is also behind the fall of that old man? No, it felt similar but different at the same time, the feeling also wasn't terrifying like when I was before it.
Well, I shouldn't keep cracking my head about it. Either way, that formation master was truly strong and it's always good to have more things to his arsenal.
After clearly examining these, Thomas was pretty satisfied. "Now after waiting for the storm to pass, I shall look for any living person in this world."
