Once Claire changed in a combat suit she returned from the dorm so she could accompany him to a building southwest, also known as the Combat Tower.
Arriving there, an old man stood in the entrance watching everybody that went in and out of the building.
As soon he stepped inside, Thomas felt that the density of energy grew by several times to the point he could clearly see it through his heightened senses.
This sudden change made Claire a little dizzy as she grabbed her head."Wow, I wasn't expecting this level of atmospherically energy density. It will diffidently boost my training speed by twice."
"Oah, Hold there." Thomas helped her from stumble on the ground.
"Thanks." Claire got back up and she straightened her clothes, then both of them gave a closer look at their surroundings.
In the first floor thousands of machines, screens and computers everywhere, there were also several bookshelves filled with copies of ancient tomes and scriptures hundreds of years old.
It was said in the Training Camp student document that the first and second floor of the combat tower were used to store Anima Techniques and Training Manuals for all sorts of areas.
The association also sent over several copies of history books, and other classic scriptures in synthetic paper paper. Of course, like everything in the training camp, no money could be used to exchange for the techniques here, only Adept Points.
The third floor was a training hall and a dojo for students to practice the technique they brought an experience fighting against bots. There is also an Arena right next to the combat tower for the students to fight against one another to gain Adept Points.
"Claire, I will be taking an private training chamber in the third floor, what about you?"
"I can't practice in the sames techniques as everybody else since it's Alice that Adapts most of them for my use. However, there are indeed things I want to gain a better understanding of so I will do the same as you."
In the third floor, other than the large training halls, students could rent training chambers with sound isolation and a few other things for those that liked to train in privacy. The prices for such chambers were pretty cheap, about 1 adept Point per day and the price went higher according to the quality of the chamber.
In the third floor, Thomas and Claire saw there was already over several students with ages varing between eighteen to twenty-five. Among those, Thomas spotted only the energy traces of two elite adepts coming from two of the training chambers.
"Fine then, I will take this one here."
With a small green card in hand, he pressed it on one of the most basic training chambers, one adept point being reduced right away as the door was unlocked.
The entire installation was made of a combination of metal, animanium and a synthetic plastic with a resistance over five times that of refined iron.
"Now this is what a training room should look like." Thomas sighed with admiration at all the testing machines, medical chamber, training droids and all sorts of other stuff that could be used on training. The walls were also sturdy and no communication device had any signal in there.
"Good, Now should be a good time." Seating on the ground, He opened the archive to the techniques Adamantine Whirlwind Seal and Adamantine Whirlwind Slash.
'Looking at the two, Thomas thought carefully before choosing to start with Adamantine Whirlwind Seal.
With closed eyes, Thomas went in deep thought. 'Before when I used for the first time, it was with the system assisting me so I don't think its power was even close to what it should be.'
Feeling the energy flowing throughout his body to the tips of his fingers, several vivid green threads joined together in the air to form a glassy hexagonal symbol.
Gazing at the seal, Thomas noticed something wasn't quite right and returned to the digital archive of the technique. "I see... So something was really wrong."
In the description of the technique it said there were several levels of achievement in this technique and that it could be seen through the color and number of the seals one could form.
Despite being a technique that could only be activated Vitality attribute energy, it didn't have the green color originated from the vitality attribute but a strange glassy color.
According to the information of the technique, the glassy hexagonal seal was the weakest in terms of defense but also the one with the least energy requirements.
Back when fighting the Azure-horned beasts, he was able to form three partial illusory seals which were able to hold back, but that was only due to the fact his seals were the weakest.
Later there came the yellow, red, silver, gold and then platinum. Currently, his limit was 2 fully-formed and partially formed one.
"Let's test this little thing's resistance." Heading to the side, he turn on one of the training droid and sat on the square while letting the droid attack him.
'Swwiiiiish!' Suddenly a laser beam shot out of its eyes came straight at Thomas, who blocked with his Adamantine Seals.
*Creeeeaaak!*
Thomas could hear the sound of partially-formed seal cracking yet two of the seals still stood firm without breaking down.
"Training Droid, increase the output of energy to 40%."
The laser beam grew about one tenth instantly and it nearly broke the second seal.
'I need to put more strength into it.' Thomas infused his energy into the seals furiously, helping him resisting the laser. By the time he put over half of his energy, his arms were tired and showing veins, his eyes, completely bloodshot as he struggled to keep up with it.
*Creeeeaaak!* The second seal broke and Thomas was barely able to keep blocking the laser. His teeth creaking, he turned to the training body and said while shaking. "Increase the output of energy to 80%."
The density of the laser grew to be about the size of a forearm, nearly engulfing the whole seal that stood between Thomas and the Laser.
'Aaaaah' Puting everything he had left into the third and last seal, Thomas felt his consciousness about to give up when he saw a flash of yellow light in front of him for two seconds...
*Crack!* The seal broke like glass, throwing Thomas back as lost his consciousness.
'Pipi?' Noticing that its master had fainted, the training droid turned off its laser as two medical bots examined the boy and saw he had only fainted from exhaustion, they took Thomas unconscious body to the medical Chamber right in the corner of the room.
