If someone were to ask about my life, I would have told them I thought I was the luckiest girl in the world with the most perfect life. I had a beautiful mother and a handsome father and their love story were known across the whole Empire.

Nesrin Callipé was envied by all the ladies of the Empire. She had gorgeous purple hair that cascaded down her body in gentle waves. Her bright rose-coloured eyes enchanted everyone with just a glance. She was graceful and elegant, a model example of a Lady. Everyone loved her and they had every reason to be. She was eloquent in speaking and intellectual. She was born to be a leader.

My father on the other hand had a presence that screamed cool and mystery wrapped in charm. With raven black hair that was silky and made you want to touch it and deep aqua blue eyes as if you could drown in them with one look, his beauty was well known across the empire. He was notorious for having a scary amount of mana from a young age. When he was born, the mages of the Tower were in awe at the young boy's potential.

As he grew up, he took part in several battles in his teenage years, just because he already mastered swordsmanship at a young age – and had a ridiculous talent for it.

But my father always told me that he fell in love with my mother at first sight.

I felt lucky because my father was the most powerful man in the Alynthi Empire since he was the Emperor, and my mother was the Empress. On top of that, I was their only daughter, Princess Astraea Violet de Alynthi, heir to the throne. I was certified to be the heir because my father decided to stop after having me. After all, he didn't want my mother to go through the pain anymore. Since there was no other royal descendent apart from me, I was acknowledged to be the heir.

That was why, if you were to ask, I would have definitely said I had the most perfect life in the Alynthi Empire. I had great parents, great lineage, was rich and was surrounded by great people.

However, if you asked me now, I would ponder on that statement. Did I have a perfect life? Was I lucky?
