Chapter 26: Why Don't We Call the Cops?

Inside Mouse's car, the atmosphere was very tense.

They were all very anxious. The car following them was still close behind, and Reidon looked back at it from time to time.

"Why don't we stop and call the cops?"

Reidon really did not want to continue riding in Mouse's car. He felt that if this continued, he would die in the car first.

At this speed, he was already risking his life, and the pursuers seemed willing to risk theirs too.

Mouse was focused on driving. After hearing what Reidon said, he also thought for a moment.

"We're going too fast. If we stop right now, they might crash into us. I'm scared we'll be dead before the cops get here."

Mouse looked in the rearview mirror and motioned for Reidon to look at it, too.

"Do you see that? They are making a ferocious charge at us. If I stop, we might be beaten to death!"

Mouse was also very scared now. He felt that he had been aggressive enough.

With this momentum, he could scare the others away.

But he did not expect that they would chase even more recklessly.

Seeing that the few cars were getting closer and closer, and it was clear that they were trying to force Mouse to stop.

At this moment, Mouse's face turned red. He steeled his heart and stepped on the accelerator.

"Let's do it! See who would be afraid!"

After saying that, he ignored the dangers around him and rushed out.

The speed of the car made Reidon feel as if he was being sucked into the backrest.

Seeing that they were about to catch up, Reidon's eyelids twitched.

However, he did not shout out in alarm. Instead, he quietly gazed at Mouse beside him.

He did not expect that after so many years, everyone had changed, but Mouse remained the same.

He was still so loyal. For the sake of his brothers and friends, he was willing to risk his life.

At this moment, Reidon felt great warmth in his heart.

Just as the two cars were about to collide, the other car instantly increased its speed.

"Haha! Did you see that? ! They're scared!"

Mouse was extremely excited. He did not care about anything else and continued to speed up.

The car in front of them also continued to speed up. They maintained a certain distance and did not collide with each other.

As they approached the toll booth, the other cars seemed to have no intentions of slowing down.

Mouse's eyes lit up as he saw a gap.

As his speed increased again, the car in front also continued to speed up.

As the speed of the car in front of him increased again, the gap was getting bigger and bigger, enough for his car to pass through.

Mouse seized this opportunity. Without any hesitation, he turned the steering wheel and passed through the gap.

"I did it!"

Mouse patted the steering wheel with his hand, looking very excited.

His car was like a sharp sword, rushing directly to the gate of the toll booth.

The railings of the toll booth did not open for him.

And behind his car, there were already more than a dozen black cars occupying all the lanes. All of them covered the entire area, squeezing it so tightly that there was not a single gap. It was as if there was a traffic jam.

At the front and back, there were a total of two rows.

The momentum was like a rainbow.

Reidon was also dumbfounded. He had never seen so many cars of the same color squeezed together.

It was simply a chase.

Could it be a gang?

"Are you sure you haven't provoked a gang before?"

Mouse thought so too.

But he didn't wait for Reidon's answer. Instead, he stepped on the gas pedal.

He wanted to charge through the toll gate.

With a bang, his car directly broke the railing.

It straight up rushed onto the highway.

"What should we do? Where are we going?"

Mouse stared at the road ahead and said to Reidon.

Reidon thought for a moment and suddenly said,

"We need to go to the next intersection and then to the police station. They're chasing us. There's no way they'd chase us all the way to the police station."

Reidon had no other choice.

Mouse also felt that this was a solution. He did not believe that these gangsters were so arrogant that they dared to break into the police station.

After making the decision, Mouse's car accelerated again.

This time, his speed had already reached 180 km/h.

Hearing the rumbling sound, Reidon opened the plastic bag again and threw up inside.

When the car drove on the highway for about 20 minutes, mouse got off the highway at an intersection where there were fewer cars.

Looking at the cars that were still chasing behind, mouse made up his mind. He did not dare to slow down, so he charged through the toll station once again.

They drove all the way to the police station. Then, the two of them opened the car door and ran toward the building.

"Help!"

Mouse cried loudly. He ran and shouted at the same time. He looked very miserable.

Reidon didn't dare to fall behind. He ran directly to the police station.

Seeing the two people asking for help, the police subconsciously pulled out their guns.

"What's going on with you two?"

The policeman frowned and looked nervous.

Reidon said with a trembling voice, "Someone... someone..."

Just as he opened his mouth, Reidon suddenly could not help but run to the edge of the pool to vomit.

Seeing Reidon like this.

Mouse said on his behalf, "Someone is chasing us!"

When the policeman heard this, his expression immediately became serious. "Tell me more, what exactly is going on?"

Thereafter, Mouse told the policeman everything that had happened. He was very clear and did not miss a single detail.

Mouse was also very scared and didn't dare to hide anything.

The policeman didn't expect the matter to be so serious and quickly reported it to his superior.

Then, his superior immediately checked all the surveillance videos.

But he discovered that behind Mouse's car, there was not a single vehicle chasing.

In fact, there wasn't even one suspicious car.

In the surveillance videos, he only saw the two of them speeding, running traffic lights, and running through toll booths.

When he saw this, the police's face turned ashen.

These two men were caught in a trap.

However, the police didn't know...

Two helicopters were hovering above their heads.

"Report! The danger has been averted!"

"Roger! You can return!"

"Mission accomplished! Returning now!"

When the pilot finished reporting, the two helicopters turned around and disappeared into the sky.
