Chapter 22 - A Clinched Deal

The huge castle and the ceiling above it were about four or five stories high. They were all shattered by a slash from Ronald.

They could see the fog outside, and even though it was daytime, the strange environment in Black Forest made this place appear very eerie. Waves of cold wind blew against their faces, making their scalps numb.

Inside the castle and in the empty hall, Ronald sat on the sofa with a calm expression. The corners of his lips curled up as he looked at everyone present.

As soon as he finished speaking, Blake and the other three fell silent.

Blake, who was the only one with the right to speak, did not dare to treat Ronald terribly like before.

There was only one possibility in front of him now. If he wanted to die, there was no need to say anything. If he wanted to live, he could only agree to Ronald's conditions.

"Ahem." Blake kowtowed with a trace of blood on the corner of his mouth. Although the wound had healed, it was impossible for it to recover completely in a short period of time. It was just that he was slightly better than his critical condition just now.

Off to the side, Alpha and Delta were silent, not saying a word. Gina floated in the air, not daring to breathe too loudly. Her beautiful big eyes swirled at Ronald and Blake. Her red lips parted in a silent gasp.

Was Ronald asking for a lot? Of course he was, and it was too much!

But could they not agree? Unless… They were ready to die! If they did not want to die, they could only agree to his conditions. Otherwise, no one here could withstand his destructive power.

Even Blake, who used to be at the top of the continent, was severely injured by Ronald's attack. They had completely given up on fighting tenaciously. When the difference in strength was too great and they still refused to realize their mistakes, that would not be bravery, but rashness. They were just going to die, nothing else.

"Can I raise a condition?" Blake took a deep breath and said in a calm tone. He looked at Ronald with a serious look, his expression hopeful.

"Speak." Ronald smiled faintly.

"If it's something that you can help and not against your principles, help me with one thing."

After Blake said that, he felt a little nervous. After all, he knew that he did not have the right to negotiate with Ronald.

"Help you with one thing in exchange for a huge territory? Come to think of it, I'm the one who profits. Besides, I'm a civilized person. It's impossible for me to act like those bandits. In that case, I'll accept your condition.

"Remember, this is a normal transaction, not me snatching your territory," Ronald said slowly with a smile.

"I'm doing all of this willingly," Blake said with a hint of bitterness.

But then again, he didn't think he was at a disadvantage. Black Forest was simply too vast, like an island. As such, the extra area wasn't of much use to him. Moreover, this forest was already too old and had been silent for too long. It was unknown if it still possessed vitality.

Other than that, there was also the fact that Blake had gradually aged and was no longer as energetic as before.

Making him go to the innermost region of the continent now would cost him his life. Black Forest was Blake's retirement place. If nothing went wrong, he would live here forever.

Of course, occasionally dreaming that he could step into the innermost region of the continent was also a good thing for Blake himself, but he wouldn't have such a good mentality if he was really asked to.

And for a terrifying man like Ronald to agree to do something for him, this condition was rather costly! Not everyone could have such a condition.

"Deal!" Ronald stood up from the sofa and smiled.

"Deal." Blake's face was still pale and bloodless. He nodded and said, "From now on, this castle will be the dividing line. The territory on the left is mine, and the territory on the right is yours."

"Does my area have a name?" Ronald asked with a grin.

"Yes!" Blake thought for a moment, as if recalling the past. He said slowly: "It's called Deathly Silence. The environment inside is even more eerie and quiet than mine."

"As long as it's quiet enough, that's sufficient," Ronald said bluntly with a smile.

"As for Gina, I'm asking for her own opinion." Blake turned to Gina. "What do you think?"

"Yes." Gina nodded shyly.

"I guess she's willing to follow you," Blake said with a wry smile.

Alpha and Delta bit their collars and looked at Gina with resentment.

If they had the chance to follow Ronald, they would gladly do it.

However, they did not have the opportunity to do so. Even if they kept pestering him, Ronald would not accept them as his lackeys.

"And also," Blake whispered, turning to where Sword Demon was.

"I know your answer just by looking at you. Following the strong is your biggest dream now."

"Thank you!" Sword Demon lowered his head and cupped his hands.

"Without you, I'm also an expert of my generation. What loss do I have?" Blake became more cheerful and laughed.

Perhaps it was because he had just escaped the gates of hell that his personality had become more optimistic. His previously lifeless appearance made it seem like everyone owed him millions.

"You've changed quite a bit." Ronald glanced at Blake and smiled.

"Could it be that you've been enlightened by my slash just now? It would seem that I've contributed greatly."

"Ronald, the first man to challenge the authority of the ruler of Black Forest, is very strong!" Blake looked deeply at Ronald and said.

In the beginning, Blake still looked down on Ronald. However, after the event, he had no choice but to treat him seriously. Ronald's strength was too terrifying, and it filled his heart with fear. If possible, he did not want to be Ronald's enemy for the rest of his life. Facing that terrifying slash, it simply took his life. Fortunately, the other party had not killed him yet. Otherwise, he would have died just now.
