"Hey, Elle, are you alright?"
Cassie was about to tap my back, but I signaled her to stop.
I drink the water in one gulp to get rid of the food that was on my throat. I breathed a sigh of relief when the food successfully goes down.
"Are you okay now?" Cassie asked, worriedly.
I nodded in response because I can't find my voice to speak yet.
"Next time, eat slowly, Elle," Giovanni said before he gets out of the dining area.
My cheeks heated up because of embarrassment. Can I just vanish here to where I was seated?
"Oh my God, Cassie. Is he your brother?" Julienne asked as if someone is tickling her.
"Yes. Isn't he handsome?"
"The hell, he is beyond handsome. Does she have a girlfriend?"
Her voice became hopeful.
"He doesn't have. He is single and very much available," Cassie replied grinning.
"Elle, you are just at the right time. What are you waiting for? Court him now," Liliana butted in.
The eyes of the two twinkled as if Lilian just said the right word.
My face crumpled in disapproval. Are they crazy? Why would I be the one to court him?
Where is the justice in that?
"No, thanks. I am not that desperate," I answered feeling annoyed.
"Don't let this chance slip away, Elle. You two look good together.
And they think I care?
"I'm very sure your children will be beautiful and handsome," Julien added.
I massaged my head in frustration. Seriously? What are they, a fortune-teller? They can see the future?
Their imagination had gone too far. I am the one who is ashamed of what they are saying. Good thing Giovanni already left.
"Can you stop your crazy ideas? It creeps the hell out of me." I hissed and throw them a dagger look.
They all gasped as their eyes widen while looking at each other. Their eyes talked the language that only they know.
My eyebrows met when they nodded at each other as if they had come up with a plan.
But they didn't try to talk or depend on what I said after that which I am thankful for.
After we finished eating we all went to their library room.
Their library is huge. The wall was painted pale green that is refreshing in the eyes. There are paintings in different sizes hanging on the wall. On the right side is a shelf of different types of books.
The mini Peony that we're arranged in a large floor vase that was placed on the four corners gives positive vibes to the room.
We headed to their leather sofa set with a center table and sat on there to continue our project.
And it was almost eleven o'clock in the evening when we finished what we were doing.
"Gosh. My neck hurts." Liliane complained as she gently massages the back of her neck.
We are now heading out of Cassie's house.
Cassie already instructed their driver to take them home.
"Don't worry, that is already the last activity that we will be work out," Cassie replied.
"But we still have finals to prepare," Julien answered back.
We heaved a loud sigh at the same time. I am confident that we will all pass this upcoming exam.
"Hey, where is Drico? Why are you two, here?" Cassie asked when we saw her two bodyguards standing near the car.
Jacob quickly shifted positions to where he was standing as if all his senses became alerted when Cassie talked. I've been noticing lately how Jacob stares and acts whenever Cassie is around.
No matter he hides how Cassie's presence makes him tense, I still feel it. And the way how his eyes glimmer while looking at Cassie is proof that he feels something for her.
He likes Cassie. It's not a question. And Cassie is not aware of it. Should I tell Cassie? But it is better if Jordan will be the one to say it.
I smiled in my mind. I can't wait to see Cassie's reaction when Jordan decided to make his move.
My gaze drifted toward Liliane and Julienne when I heard them gasp then whispered something with each other. Their saliva almost dripped as they gaped at the two men in front of us.
Why? King and Jordan look so hot wearing their gray fitted shirts, cargo shorts, and leather slippers. Their board chest and firm biceps are noticeable.
"He went to fetch your parents miss Cassie," King answered in his formal tone.
"Is that so? Then what are you doing here Jacob?"
Cassie eyed Jacob. His adam's apple move and look away.
"I'll go with him miss Cassie," Jordan replied with his serious face.
Cassie arched her eyebrow. "What? No need----"
Julienne cut her off. "It's okay Cassie. No problem."
"But you can't drive two cars. One is enough."
"Shut your mouth and let us leave, Cassie," Liliane whispered in her ear, but I heard it. "This is our chance to be with them. Don't be a killjoy."
"What the----"
Julienne cut her off again. "Let's go, Liliane, it's getting late."
Cassie left with no choice but to watch the two get inside the car. King immediately followed them.
"We have some important persons to meet after we drive home your classmate miss Cassie," Jordan explained.
Cassie snorted. "Just go," she said rudely.
Jordan nodded before he turns his back.
King drives the car while Jordan sits on the passenger side. The car is not tinted, so I saw the triumphant smile crept on Julienne and Liliane's lips as the car move away.
"Are they hitting on my bodyguards?" Cassie asked when the car left out of our sight.
"What do you think?" I asked arching my brow.
We started walking going inside their house.
"Argghh. I can't believe them." She whined.
"Let them be. They already know what they are doing."
"But they are my bodyguards."
"Yes, they are only your bodyguards. You don't own them, so they are free to do whatever they want to do."
"But why Jacob needs to go too?" She pouted.
Hmmm... I smell something fishy.
"And what if Jacob go?" I asked as I arched my eyebrow.
I waited for her reaction. After a seconds, her eyes widen. Her lips parted like she just realized something. I smirked.
"Yeah. Why would I care?" she then replied sarcastically. "And so what if Jacob decided to court Julienne or Liliane. I.don't.care," she answered with full of bitterness and glared in the dark.
I laugh silently. Cassie is so obvious, but I won't tease her for now.
