that's all Ayumi could see. Houses burning down and people running away and even screaming. Ayumi was sat down on the floor starring at the innocent people frightened of the monsters attacking her village. They were massive and scary looking. She was confused until her parents ran to her in tears. "Ayumi! Get out of here while you can you must get to a safer place before they find you!" Ayumi's mother begged to her. While her father was fighting the monsters of. But Ayumi was to scared to even move or speak so her mother grabbed her hand and ran as fast as she could to the evacuation ships. "We are nearly there! Just hang on a minute Ayumi" Her mother said. All of a sudden three level 1000 monsters appeared right in front of them. Ayumi could see there clenched teeth and massive arms that were about to lunge at them. Ayumi's mother pushed her away to keep her safe. "Ayumi I know your scared but you must evacuate immediately! Your mother will keep the monsters distracted before they find you! Now go my dear child!" Her mother used her magical sword to cut of their arms but they weren't enough. If she used her full power then she could kill her child so she tried as hard as possible not to. Ayumi was running to the ships crying in pain. All of a sudden a crying shout came from behind her. That's when she knew it was her mothers voice crying for help. She wanted to go back and check if her mother was ok but her mother didn't want that so she arrived at the ships and boarded it begging for her mother to be alright.
All of a sudden Ayumi woke up from her dream while tears where falling down her face. "The same dream huh..". She got out of bed and got all dressed up ready for graduation day. Everyone in the city was excited and people were all wearing fancy clothes to remember this day. Ayumi went outside and locked her house making sure no one can get in. She called for a taxi to pick her up and drop her of at "Satire high school" of Magical users and wizards where you can become a full trainer. She could see people smiling and drinking hot chocolate together while the taxi was moving at a normal pace. It felt like a normal day for ordinary people but everyone knew of the pain of monsters killing innocent people each day. She arrived at Satire high school and thanked the taxi driver. Her best friend Ichika ran to her shouting excitedly. "Ayumi we are about to graduate aren't you excited we have been dreaming for this in like forever!". Ichika was a normal ordinary girl who had a lot of energy in her. She would always look after Ayumi like a sister and they were the closest of friends. "Yea I know today is the big day. But do you think we will really graduate I mean I heard it's really hard to". " Oh come on Ayumi stop thinking all negative all of a sudden!" Ichika moaned. They both laughed and walked inside the school talking.
There class president Itsuki waved to them to come over. "You guys finally arrived everyone was waiting for you! Next time be early and here are the sheets for the graduation timing" he handed over the white sheet of paper. "Great now I need to wait an hour for it to actually start how amazing" Ayumi grumbled. "Oh come this will be our last time of fun and freedom next thing you know you are in a guild battling leveled monsters" Her best friend said. They both stared at each other in anger. "Now now girls it's supposed to be a happy day so don't ruin it for yourselves and especially for anyone else!" Itsuki explained. The two girls sighed and said goodbye to their classmate. They both went to the cafeteria and bought Sandwhiches sitting on the rooftop staring into the distance. "You know I remembered when you first entered the school all angry looking" Ichika chuckled. "Hey I told you not to talk about that day!". Ayumi ate her food carefully. "But the thing is all you ever talked about was slaying all the monsters and then killing the demon king". " I mean that's what I still want to do those dam monsters deserve it!" Ayumi stood up punching the air. Ichika looked worried. "I think it might be safer to just become a healer I mean becoming a actual knight! Are you crazy are you trying to get a death wish or what?!?" Ichika yelled as loud as she could. "Safer?!? I don't care about any of that millions of people are in danger because of them if I just kill their leader then everyone can live in peace!". " But I can't lose you! Your so stubborn and moody you can't even control your emotions so how can you control your power!" They both stood there trying not to break into a fight. Ayumi put one hand on Ichika's shoulder. "All you want to do is make sure I'm safe and I'm happy about that but some times you need to let them go because all they want to do is achieve their dream for once" Ayumi smiled softly. Ichika knew the risk of letting her go but her smile told everything. "Fine but I'll become a knight to, to make sure you won't do anything stupid!". " HEY WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY STUPID?!?". There friendship is the strongest thing on the planet or was.....
Graduation started and everyone made there way into the the auditorium. The principal came up to the stage and stood their feeling proud of their students. "Welcome to graduation day at Satire High School everyone. This will be a big day for you and your parents who are here today to see their child grow up into a man or woman or any other gender. Ever since the portal opened up people have lived in fear and chaos but that's when the guilds came and saved people from them! Starting from today you guys will pick people to join your guild and then you will be able to start defeating monsters and claiming higher levels. I wish you all good luck and become the next person to slay the demon king!". Everyone cheered and shouted. People started talking and chatting about who they want in their guild. " So Ichika have you already been asked to be in a guild yet?" One of the school bully's laughed. "Actually yes the "doves" have already asked me!". "THE DOVES?!?" everyone shouted. The doves are a guild filled with powerful magic users and even healers. There have even been rumors that barely anyone can get into that guild. Everyone crowded around Ichika praising her. Ayumi felt happy for her best friend that she was able to get into a guild until someone came up to her. "What about you Ayumi? Have you been asked to be in a guild yet?". " Well not yet sadly". "WAIT REALLY?!? How embarrassing! Your parents must really be disappointed in you" Everyone laughed at Ayumi. Ichika wanted to help Ayumi but she knew that if Ichika helped her that people would start picking on her so she left ignoring all the comments.
But Ayumi didn't care about any of that. All she wanted to do is get revenge for her family and for the people that died. Her heart was cold for monsters but warm for people it was like there were two sides of her. Ichika ran outside trying to stop her. "Ayumi wait!" Ayumi stopped looking back at Ichika. "Hey don't feel bad about what they said back there! If it makes you happy then I can leave their guild for you". " Are you nuts?!? They are the best guild ever don't leave just because stupid me got all embarrassed for no reason!". Ichika was a kind and a hard working person she didn't want her to leave something that could make her into an amazing person. Ichika nodded with a sad smile plastered on her face. "But that means I'll have to leave to America to join their guild..." Her best friend looked down. "Well then you should go! You always wanted to go to America so do it!" Ayumi smiled. "But what about you?". " I'll be fine! Plus we can always meet each other in the portals!". They both knew they wouldn't see each other for a long time but there friendship would always be together.
"So I guess it is goodbye". " Yea I guess so". They both looked at each other. "Take this it might help you in your adventures" Ichika gave Ayumi a silver dagger with a lion printed on it. "How did you get this?!?" Ayumi was shocked to see something like that. "Haha! What can I say it's a family thing that use to be passed down but I think you should have it!". "Why me?" Ayumi was confused. "Well for one reason whenever I look at the dagger it always feels like it was made for you!". Ayumi sighed. " You really are dumb arnt you Ichika". "You shouldn't call your best friend dumb!". The pain of them departing was to Hurtful. But they had to stay strong for each other. Ichika handed over the dagger to Ayumi and walked away getting smaller and smaller into the distance.
A few weeks later Ayumi arrives at the M.G.H which stands for (Magic Guild Headquarters) where you can practice earn and achieve levels. Ayumi stepped in with full confidence not turning back. She tapped the front desk bell slowly and a girl appeared with glasses and her hair tied back. "Welcome to the Magic Guild Headquarters or you could call it M.G.H how may I help you today?" She looked like those smart girls you would see on TV. "Ah well im here to launch my full account and level!". "Well that's great first you will need to go through an interview to see if you are worthy to get the job!" She typed random words on the computer that looked confusing. "Ok just go through the right hall and down left and you will see many doors go through the one that says G143 and someone will see you there!" Ayumi fixed her shirt and thanked the desk lady trying not to freak out. She arrived and walked in looking to see a young man there probably in his 20s. "You just be Ayumi Saiko! Welcome please take a seat" She sat down Opisite him. "So Miss Ayumi my first question for you is how old are you and what score did you rank in the Guild mastery exam?" Ayumi could tell he just wanted to get straight to the point. "Well I'm currently eighteen and I ranked second place in the mastery exam" The man looked surprised. "Second place?!? I haven't ever interviewed a person who got a second rank this might be exciting after all!" He called for someone to decline his dinner with his wife. Ayumi felt a little bit uncomfortable near him. "Ok so miss Ayumi by the papers that I have here your battling exam is amazing especially your tactics as well! But your a little bit weak on your writing exams why is that?" He wanted to know more. "Well the thing is all I want to right now is battle monsters so why would writing mean anything to me?". He started to write down words on his notebook. "Hmm yes I see but why do you want to battle monsters I mean isn't that dangerous?". "Yes I understand it might be dangerous but people are dying and I don't want to stand there watching them die in pain so I want to save them!". The young man smirked behind his notebook. Many more questions were answered and Ayumi got quite tired from them. "My last question for you is what do you want to be?" That question was the hardest no one could answer because it would determine there future. "I want to become a magic knight user!" She said with confidence. "I haven't heard something like that in ages but we can work with that!". Ayumi was told to wait at the lobby for 1 hour and she would get her. results back. She could see people crying from not being accepted. She didn't know how to feel. Ichika was lucky because the doves were able to make her have a account without any hesitation. But in this situation it was harder.
Time went by and she knew she wouldn't get the job. She was about to leave when the young man came back. "Miss Ayumi we have great news for you! luckly one guild was able to accept you!" The news made Ayumi fill with joy. "That's great! But who accepted me?". " Well from what I have here they are called the Black knights they arnt a well known guild but it is great for beginners!" He said. As long as she was in a guild there was hope for her. She thanked the young man and went back home with the files of her guild. She opened the door to see her little sister there drawing while watching TV. But that wasn't her real sister she found her on the streets years ago and took her in. "Big sister you home!" She cheered. "Yep I'm finally home what are you doing?". Ayumi took her jacket of and hung it on the peg. "I'm watching my favorite show "Princess magic academy"! And I thought of drawing my favorite character and bring it to school tomorrow!". Ayumi's little sister was called Aiko and she was a nice and gentle girl. Ayumi went to the kitchen and cooked pasta. " That is wonderful Aiko! Your teacher and classmates would be amazed!" She said. Minutes passed and dinner was ready. They both sat at the table eating. "Big sister were you able to get into a guild today?" Aiko was eating in a messy way. "Actually yes one of the guilds finally accepted me!". "YAY! Big sister is finally a magic knight user! Have you checked your status yet?". " Oh I forgot! Now I can see what kind of magic I have". Ayumi pressed her chest and her status came up it read.

Aiko and Ayumi were confused. "What do they mean by unknown power?!? Does that mean I have none!" Ayumi was freaking out. "Silly sister! That means you probably have a rare power!". Ayumi was jumping in the air. They finished dinner and they washed the plates and cups. Aiko was staying up at night while her sister Ayumi was in her room looking through the files. "Hmm let's see? The group isn't very well known but there guild is tight and they also don't have a healer. Hmm that is bad but I think I can manage that". She closed the lights and put her file under her bed. She couldn't wait for tomorrow. It was the next day and Ayumi took a shower and put her hoodie and jeans on with her black trainers. Her sister Aiko was in the hallway putting her shoes on. "Good morning big sister!" Aiko cheered. "Good morning Aiko why are you so happy this morning?". "Don't you understand! Today we will be learning about magic users!" Akio was dancing around while her sister was packing her backpack with survival stuff to keep her safe. "Well that seems exciting" Ayumi laughed. Aiko ran out of the house trying to get to the buss stop. "Bye big sister!" Akio shouted. Ayumi waved goodbye while locking the house. She called for her friend Hiro to pick her up. After a couple of minutes her friend pulled up in a black car. "Isn't it a lovely day today Ayumi!" Hiro snickered. "Really? I thought it was a terrible day" Ayumi joked. She went inside the car putting her seat belt on. The car then started driving. "So how is your little sister?". "She is doing good it is just that I don't have enough money to pay for her treatment" Ayumi sighed in sadness. "It will be alright now that your in a guild you will be able to make loads of money". There was a little bit of hope left. They arrived at the portal station. They locked the car door and walked to the entrance. "Welcome to the portal station please show me your status" The lady looked very serious. They both showed there status and were able to enter in. "Sorry if I cant stay with you any longer my guild is looking for me see you later" Hiro sent a friendly smile. Ayumi waved goodbye and walked to the gate. Right in front of her was the enormous portal. She dreamed of standing right in front of it able to achieve the dream and it finally happened. She took deep breaths and stepped in. It was amazing! It was a whole new world filled with nature and people. She ran to see were her guild was. She could see a group of healers standing together. "Sorry to interrupt you but do you know where the Black knights are by any chance?" Ayumi tried not to look awkward. "Oh yea those guys just head straight down and you will see a big scary looking guy he would be your leader" All of them were whispering to each other like she did something wrong.
She thanked the nice lady and followed her instructions. There were loads of guilds building up with each other. Many of them looked scary. That is when she froze. There was a huge scary man looming over her and she didn't know how to react. "You must be Ayumi Saiko my name is Yuuma and I will be your guild leader!" He chuckled. Ayumi gave of a worried laugh. "Follow me and you will see the others. Near an oak tree was a two people standing there quietly. "Hey everyone listen up! This is Ayumi the new kid I was talking about". They both looked over to her. "Its nice to meet you my name is Sana and I'm a sorceress" Sana was a very shy and quite girl. "And my name is Akio! And I am a magic knight!" He was a very lively and energetic person. "Oh and don't forget the big guy! His name is Yuuma and he is a item user" He looked very terrifying from above. They where all different in there own way. "Since you are the new recruit we should let you do some hunting with us!" Akio sneered. "Are you sure? We shouldn't put a lot of pressure on them" Ayumi couldn't tell if she was being serious or not. "Listen up you rascals it's the new kids disicion if they want to or not" Yumma grumbled he didn't look like he was in a good mood today. "Well I guess I don't mind?". Everyone cheered and they set of to find some monsters. "Are we going to battle high levelled monster's?" Ayumi questioned. "Nope it's to dangerous to do that since we aren't a higher ranker yet" Yumma explained. "That's why we always look for level 5 monsters so that nothing bad will happen" everyone said. All of a sudden Ayumi could see something in the corner of her eye that made her pull out her sword in fear.
