The second Thawne put his hand on the rune, it glowed a brilliant shade of orange.
A large rumbling erupted from below, sand slowly shifting and the ruins rebuilt itself to what it could of it's former prime.
A large pedestal with the same engravings appeared but this time an ancient language was scrawled beneath each symbol.
A lightning bolt symbol was the only one that was lit. It's shades of Purple and Red shined brightly in the desert night. A rune of an orb, a light shade of Turquoise shone brightly as one of the travellers examined the runes. He remained still, his face filled with pure shock and confusion.
Thawne as if he knew it's purpose crawled on the platform to it's centre. The group looked at him, confused and concerned. A bright light enveloped Thawne, in a few seconds, his whole body healed. Thawne's vision was fixed first, allowing him to get a good look at the travellers he was assisted by.
A clear look at them gave Thawne a good idea of what he was dealing with.
The darker figure was a male ginger, wearing a black overcoat with a cape and an eyepatch. He gave Thawne an irritated yet shocked look as he slowly rose to a sitting position on the platform.
The more colourful figure had pure white hair, a mixed coloured shirt of sorts with a snake which moved around his neck, down to the ground. The final figure was a female wearing darker clothing that resembled the snake owner.
"Who are you?" The patched man eyed him with a mixture of suspicion, confusion & fear.
"Let him catch his breath, Julian he nearly died already," the darkly clothed female sighed.
"No, he has every right to be confused," Thawne responds calmly.
"Why were you there?" Julian pressed on, attempting to intimidate Thawne with his height.
"It's a long story, you want the fully detailed explanation or a short idea that can't compensate for what happened?" Thawne rose towering over him, giving him a cold stare.
"Let's sit down, I for one want to know more," the snake owner walked to the fire and the group sat in silence.
Thawne began with his death, detailing how he faded away, and met Glitch.
"So, you made a deal with a belevolent spirit who turned out to be working for an army to destroy every universe, including the one you're from?" The white haired man asked.
Thawne nodded.
"The next thing I know, I'm working with who they were hunting, the only thing that could stop them," Thawne sighs. The white haired man smiles and holds up the letter.
"So you are looking for recruits I assume?" He says.
"In the least establishing protection for each universe, but that's not fully possible unless we find the last Hydronan who was gifted her status by the dead," Thawne corrects him.
"That explains the runes at least," Julian sighs. The three turn to him.
"What do you mean?" Thawne asks.
Julian scoffed.
"It makes sense to me, it's not hard to understand a puzzle when I see one!"
Thawne then walked to the pedestal, as if he learned from memory he read the incriptions.
"The Pistol, representing one of patience and one's loss of family.
The Mystic, representing one's perseverance and one's fear.
The Other Half, representing of one's compassion and one's anger.
The Sword, representing of one's love and revenge.
The Bolt, representing of one's hope and guilt.
The Card, representing of one's bravery and pain.
The Pyramid, representing of one's power and lack of grace.
These foundations lead to her revival, all connected, in spirit, in lesson to the creator,
With the world's close end she will have to chose, to rise and finish what ours couldn't, or fall and perish alongside us all," Thawne finished, laughing slightly.
The group eyed him, as he slowly broke down, delirious from fear and exhaustion.
"This is it! We only need these seven people and then we are done, 4 of what we need for this over," Thawne laughs sitting in front of the pestistal. The white haired male shook his head and held his hand out, with a small ball of light, which launched itself at Thawne.
"Sleep well," he sighed as Thawne lay still.
"The sands got to him, and we better rest.
We have a long journey ahead of us, don't we?"
