Mei Yan chuckled.
"There's no need to go through so much trouble. When I get out of the hospital, I'll have plenty of time to spar with him."
Lu Huaiyu paused for a moment, his smile unchanged.
"Grandfather has always said that playing chess with you is what he enjoys doing the most. I think he would be very happy if he heard what your plan was."
Just then, Ning Li walked in.
Her gaze swept over the few of them.
"Master, Second Brother, what are you talking about?"
Lu Huaiyu smiled. "I was talking about chess with Elder Mei."
Ning Li understood and did not ask any more questions. She then said to Mei Yanqing, "Master, the Doctor said that it'd be better for you to remain under observation for a few more days."
The hope that had just appeared on Mei Yanqing's face was instantly extinguished.
"A few more days?"
Ning Li walked over and helped him adjust his pillow.
