Xin Zaozao stood in front of the toilet.
Mu Cidian picked her up, carried her horizontally, and carried her out.
"I need to wash my hands." Xin Zaozao reminded.
But Mu Cidian put her on the bed, and softly said, "Wait for me."
Xin Zaozao looked at him, puzzled.
She watched him go back to the bathroom and bring out a basin of hot water.
Mu Cidian placed the basin at the head of Xin Zaozao's hospital bed, drew the curtains, and said, "Let me help you wash."
Xin Zaozao's eyes flickered slightly.
She did indeed want a light wash, but having just given birth, the doctor had suggested waiting a few days before taking a bath, both to avoid any infection on the baby's wounds and to prevent catching a cold.
Indeed, having sweated through her clothes the previous day was rather uncomfortable, but she had intended to bear through it.
She watched as Mu Cidian wrung out a hot towel and gently wiped her face.
The temperature was just right, as was the strength of Mu Cidian's hands.
