"Are you awake?"
Qin Youxuan stared for a few seconds before she stammered out the question.
"I'll call the doctor for you."
She was about to get up from the bed when her arm was grabbed.
Unable to stop her movement in time, she pulled on Dan Hanjie's wound, causing him to let out a suppressed groan. She quickly froze in place.
"How do you feel? Your wound must have reopened. Let go of my hand, I need to call the doctor for you." Qin Youxuan looked at his pained expression, breaking out into a cold sweat in her anxiety.
"Aren't you angry anymore?" Dan Hanjie's thin lips moved. His voice was hoarsed and dry, reminiscent of coarse sand and gravel.
"..."
Qin Youxuan's eyes flickered just as he let go of her hand and tried to push himself up from the edge of the bed, using both arms to support himself.
"I can explain."
