Maya was still holding her breath and tears when her cell phone rang.
Marve called her, wiping her tears and adjusting her voice Maya then picked up Marve's phone.
"What?" Maya asked, her voice raised on purpose so that Marve couldn't recognize her soft voice after crying.
"It's almost lunchtime, come over to my company. I want to eat with you." Marve said behind the phone.
"I don't want to..." Maya answered firmly, Marve would bombard herself with a million questions if she saw her eyes are swollen like now.
"Come on baby... I miss you, I want to eat with you." Marve whined unconcerned.
"No, I have a lot of work to do." Maya denied that Veronica had done a lot of work very well during her time in Paris. After all, she only had two days off because she left on Friday, so Saturday and Sunday were holidays.
