My eyes peered through the window trying to figure out where the hell Veronica is taking me as Ernesto drives the car through the night. but I am quite lost. I may have lived in New York for years but there are some places in New York I am not familiar with.
My shoulders upheaved in alert when I notice we are venturing into a dark neighborhood. I notice a group of gangly people walking by.
"Where are we?" I asked Veronica. Who looks relaxed in contrast to how tense I am.
"We are in the dangerous part of Bronx," She casually says like she hasn't just dropped the word dangerous.
"We are going to a nightclub in a dangerous place?"
She shakes her head. "Nope, we are going to a club alright a different kind of club."
I blinked at her confusedly.
The car suddenly came to a halt in front of a shop "Great, we are finally here!" Veronica excitedly squeals.
Ernesto opens the door for us and we both stepped out.
