Chapter 4 - war or peace?

Setting aside their war affairs, the gathered kings engaged in a discussion about what actions to take in the event of a catastrophe. Inside the closed room, the atmosphere was tense. Suddenly, the door swung open, revealing two unexpected visitors – the naked woman and Lucas. However, Lucas appeared noticeably older, now resembling a middle-aged man. He was adorned in a modern suit, exuding an air of wealth, and wore a red cape with a gold chain connecting one shoulder to the other.

They were all shocked, seeing who came in. Suddenly a man roared "who allowed this beggar into this room, guards seize this and that whore" point his finger at Lucas and the naked women.

"Christopher, don't you dare talk right now or else I will kill you with in a second and seize all of your land" said Lucas calmly and he continued " and I don't know who this woman is, and I think she is the child of forest, who killed those prisoners, davis your son, prince Altair is alive don't worry, my sources have informed me that he in Avaloria"

Davis glanced at him but chose not to respond. "Look, everyone," he began, addressing the gathered individuals. "I have rightfully claimed Maliba, and its people have accepted me as their rightful king. Who would have thought that the place where I intended to build my castle would turn out to be a mountain of gold? And here I stand, the wealthiest man in the entire Akin world."

"Who cares? You are still a nameless guy in this vast world," remarked an elderly man, appearing to be in his eighties or thereabouts.

"Mr. Xavier Stark, it's not about a name, it's about the trust of the people," Lucas retorted. With those words, he ventured further into the room, discovering a small opening where he could take a seat. Utilizing his mastery of light manipulation, he conjured a throne consisting of three ascending steps. Lucas ascended the steps and settled onto the throne.

"What have you all presumed? That I am some kind of clone?" Lucas continued. "I have always aspired to bring an end to this war peacefully with Christopher, but he never heeds my words, he killed a brother of mine." The onlookers were taken aback, as they had never before witnessed someone wielding magic with such proficiency.

"You guys are doomed," proclaimed the naked woman. She continued, "Soon, monoliths will appear across Akin, serving as gateways to unknown realms."

"So what do we need to do, celebrate?" Princess Issa spoke with a mischievous grin. Silently, she approached the woman and cast a magic spell, causing clothes to materialize on her instantly. Issa continued, "These men might get hard if they keep seeing you like this for too long."

"You can sit too, my kings. Make some space for her," Issa instructed. As she spoke, the others cleared some room for her to sit. Issa kept her gaze fixed on Lucas, who questioned, "What?"

Princess Issa replied, "Create a chair for her so she can also sit, and make one for me as well."

Upon her request, Lucas conjured a chair for the woman, but he waved his hand dismissively at Issa and declared, "Kids have no place here in this grand assembly. Leave now." As soon as he uttered those words, a lightning bolt erupted towards Lucas. However, it had no effect on him, instead, it was Christopher who had launched the attack. Filled with anger, Christopher shouted at Lucas, "You are the one who should leave right now, not her!"

"It doesn't matter now. He is a king too, so he should stay, I suppose. And my daughter will stay as well," Ethan said in a low voice, indicating his decision.

"So, lady, tell us why you are causing trouble in our peaceful world," Liam from the Lee family pointed out.

"I am not causing any trouble for you all. I simply came to inform you that monoliths will appear. When they do, the reproduction rate of monsters will increase. You should take preventive measures. And please, address me as Selina, not lady or naked woman," Selina stated, wearing a mischievous grin on her face.

"I have a suggestion," stated Lucas confidently. Christopher, seething with anger, interjected, "No one asked for your opinion here!" Ignoring the outburst, Lucas continued, "My suggestion is this, I shall become the king of this Akin world of ours. After all, I am the strongest individual in this room." Laughter erupted throughout the room, except from Princess Issa and Selina.

"We have indulged your presence in this gathering long enough. Do you truly believe you can defeat all of us?" remarked Benjamin Clark. In response, Lucas raised his hand into the air.

Suddenly, the room plunged into darkness. A small, intensely bright point of light materialized in the air, gradually expanding in size every second. The brilliance emitted by the growing light caused people to close their eyes.

"What do you think will happen if that mass hits the ground?" Lucas posed the question, receiving no response. "You all will perish within seconds, and from tomorrow onward, there will be only one king, and that king shall be me," Lucas declared ominously.

"Even if you kill us, you cannot become the king of our lands. And remember, you still don't have a family name," Henry Thompson said.

"Alright, from today onwards, my name is Lucas Medulla, representing the Medulla family. Whoever opposes my decision right now will meet their demise," declared Lucas. He forcefully slammed his hand onto the round table, and the room's lighting returned to normal. No one dared to oppose his decision.

"Christopher, our war must come to an end today. Countless people in my territory are suffering because of your actions," Lucas continued "what do you want?"

"Give up the land that doesn't belong to you, and I'm referring to the port of Maliba, not your entire country," Christopher taunted, a mischievous look in his eyes. Lucas stared at him intently before responding, "Very well, you can have the port of Maliba. However, I will retain control over the sea routes." Lucas then continued, his anger evident, "And you owe my sister-in-law and her son, Adams, an apology for taking away the life of a loving husband, a devoted father, and my brother, Elric."

"Those things will never happen, and do you know what I did to your brother's body?" Christopher said with a sinister tone. He continued, "I fed it to the sea crabs." and burst into a cruel laughter.

"If that's the case, I'll meet you on the battlefield tomorrow," he declared, rising from his seat and approaching Princess Issa. Lucas spoke with a gentle tone, "Please don't remain in the midst of these men for too long. They have a tendency to devour others alive. Now, I must take my leave. If you ever require assistance, you can come directly to my castle or send a raven, and I will be there to accompany you." With those words, he vanished into thin air….

Far, far away in the Maliba Kingdom stood Lucas' majestic home. It perched atop a towering mountain, its imposing presence dominating the landscape. The castle, crafted with elegance and grandeur, stood proud in its ebony hue. The use of sea limestone, a unique stone, added to its allure and beauty.

The castle comprised five interconnected buildings, with one at the center and four others forming the border. Each building was seamlessly linked, allowing passage through a central entrance. To reach the main entrance, one had to ascend a series of stairs that extended 200 meters above sea level. As the eye gazed upward, the center tower of the castle soared magnificently, reaching a height of 200 feet, seeming to touch the heavens themselves.

The juxtaposition of the castle's dark exterior, the intricate details of the sea limestone construction, and the architectural harmony of the interconnected buildings created an awe-inspiring sight that left visitors breathless. It was a testament to Lucas' refined taste and his desire to create a residence that embodied both strength and beauty.

Deep within the throne room, a young boy sat upon the throne, but the room looked pretty empty tho, playing with an air of ownership. Seated beside him was his mother, a woman of striking beauty and mischievous nature. With a grin on her face, she spoke, "One day, my son, you shall be the king, when he passes away."

"Yes, Mom, and you shall become the future queen of the Maliba Kingdom," the boy replied. Lucas entered the room and added, "Indeed, Adams, you will ascend to the throne, and your mother will be the queen if you choose to marry her. Otherwise, she shall be the Queen Mother."

"Yeah, yeah," Adams nonchalantly responded, showing no sign of getting up.

"The Queen Mother ought to depart soon. If not, I will personally ensure her demise and bury her alongside my brother," Lucas angrily declared, teasing her with the title.

"Why should I leave? My son is the rightful heir to the kingdom. Besides, you will meet your end tomorrow at my father's hands," retorted the woman named Liya.

"Liya, my brother married you as part of a peace treaty between our kingdoms, and yet your father betrayed us both. Unfortunately, my brother lost his life," Lucas recounted with a sense of regret.

"We orchestrated his demise from the beginning. It is because of him that nearly 10,000 soldiers perished in the war," Liya disclosed. Rising to her feet, she caught Adams' attention, and together they departed from the room.

Later that night, Lucas lay soundly asleep in his bed. Suddenly, a knock resounded through the grand doors of his chamber. Stirred from his slumber, Lucas groggily rose and approached the massive door.

"What is it?" he inquired, his voice laced with sleepiness.

The maid standing before him replied, "Your Highness, there is someone here to see you."

"This late? Very well, you may go. I will attend to it myself," Lucas replied, granting the maid permission to depart. However, just as the maid was about to leave, she turned back and added, "She hasn't entered the castle, Your Highness. She is standing outside."

Curiosity piqued, Lucas contemplated who this person might be, standing outside the castle gates in the darkness of the night.

It took Lucas a few minutes to make his way out of the castle, descending the grand staircase with a leisurely stride. As he reached the bottom, he noticed a woman standing there. She was adorned in a royal gown, with a necklace featuring ornamental star symbols.

Lucas approached the woman with a hint of curiosity and addressed her, his voice tinged with a touch of laziness, "What brings you here at this late hour, Princess Issa?"...
