Chapter 1 - The Ilty-Ilty's Call

The beast snarled at him as he stood in front of it, his axe firmly in his hand and his shield in front of him. The beast was a common creature in the highlands they were native to, but the thing standing in front of him was much larger than they usually were. The bipedal creature stood at over twice his height and was covered by thick pelt and fur that protected it from most foes as well as the cold winters of the Naav highlands. It roared and went forwards, trying to crush him with both of its large arms. The hunter's shield was lifted and with a small side step and an upwards parry, he was able to move the large beast's arms away from crushing him. The man also took the balance hindering attack to slash at the creature's arms, digging into the hide deep enough to draw blood and a cry of pain from the beast. He hopped back as the beast tried to headbutt him and repositioned to continue the fight. The creature was a large, bipedal beast that resembled the trolls in the plains of Olbat, but as it lived in a colder, greener environment, it was mostly brown with patches of white and green on its hide to blend in with the environment. It charged forwards, its large, heavy body being its deadliest weapon. The hunter slid under the lunging head and drove his axe upwards and slashed one of the creature's legs, making it stumble and fall as more blood painted the snow under their feet. He quickly stood up and, using the beast's fallen position, leaped into the air before driving his axe into the back of its head, putting it out, the axe easily embedding itself into the highland troll's head. The man sheathed his axe on his belt and drew a smaller blade, "A tooth for my efforts wouldn't bother me," He ripped out one of the troll's canines and put it in a pouch on his belt. Once he had gathered the tooth, he quickly measured the size of the troll and wrote it down in his hunter's journal before starting off once more. The sun was starting to set and it would get dark and cold very quickly, the Naav highlands were very hostile to humans but an abundant land for the creatures that could survive its harsh conditions. He was one of the rare people that lived so north from civilization, living in a small house on the outskirts of the large forest that covered most of the highlands.

The snow had begun to fall once more as he walked into his house, it was cold and dark as it normally was when he got back after a day of hunting or a day of gathering. He walked to place the new firewood he had gathered with the old pile and quickly got a fire set up to cook and heat up the small house. It had been several years since he had started living in the highlands of Naav. He let the fire grow as he placed the fang that he had collected from the troll with the other trophies of his collection. The regular routine that he had when he returned home was interrupted by a knock at his door, "Is anyone there?"

"Yeah, what do you want?"

"I was sent here by the chief of my village to find a man who lived in the Naav highlands, but I didn't expect the night to fall so fast, can you let me in?" He opened the door, his hand on the knife on his belt. The figure he was met by was a woman who wore a large pelt cloak that covered most of her body, attempting to protect it from the cold. He looked at her feet and saw she wore sandals that did little to protect her feet from the cold. He gestured with his head to enter the house and she walked in.

"You are unprepared for the Naav winters, aren't you?" He mentioned as he closed the door, "Who sent you?" She sat by the fire, her cloak still covering her as she gently shivered, "Whoever sent you forgot to mention that the winters would be up in this place."

"None of my tribe have been this far north, kind stranger."

"You must be from around Getulush, the Ilty-Ilty tribe."

"How could you tell?" She looked at him confused as the fire gently began heating up the room, "I wouldn't have expected someone of your kind to know anything of our people," He laughed and found a bowl to eat the stew that was heating over the pot, "Why are you laughing?" He removed his fur coat and pulled aside the thinner clothes he was wearing under it. On his chest was a mark that she observed before looking back at him. She removed her cloak, revealing the smaller clothes she was wearing beneath the cloak and a similar mark on her chest, "You must be the hunter my chief has sent me to find, you have the mark."

"What is the hunter's name?"

"Kolvma Ilbis."

"I am he, what did he send you for?"

"I don't know why he sent me, Kolvma, he only told me your name and where I would find you," The woman said, "I apologize for not introducing myself, I am Yishva Itly-Itly," He nodded and handed her the bowl of soup, "I have food for myself, Kolvma, I wish not to burden you with having to feed me."

"Whatever you want, Yishva," He sat by the fire as well and began eating, "How old are you?"

"I am 21 blooms old."

"I forgot your people used blooms to count the years."

"Are you not part of our people? You bear our mark," The young lady seemed confused by his comments, her chief had clearly not explained much about him to her.

"I saved your chief a long time ago," He explained as he ate, "He wanted to give me something in return and I became an honorary member of your tribe, Kolvma Ilbis Itly-Itly, a long name that I don't use," He shrugged as he stood to move the stew off of the fire. Yishva listened as she chewed on a dried piece of meat.

"You were the one he spoke of when he told me the story about being saved by a pale man," She was a curious creature, "How old are you, Kolvma?"

"I am 38 springs old," He shrugged and sat back down, "How long did it take you to reach this place?"

"I have been gone for 12 nights," The hunter nodded as the woman looked around his house and spotted his collection of trophies, "What are those fangs?"

"Many highland trolls, a few cave trolls, two are tusks of thick hide boars," He explained before she pointed at the necklace made with fangs, "That is an Ilty-Ilty craft, fangs made from the sand wyrm that I killed protecting your chief."

"A sand wyrm, how did you manage?"

"I have a good axe," He chuckled as she looked at him, her eyes sparking as his stories and feats have seemed to do something to her, "And a little bit of stupidity," He watched her begin to crawl towards him, leaving her cloak entirely and moving towards him. Her clothes was made up of a small top that covered her petite chest made of vines and pelt, her body was very exposed as her lower was covered by a rope and pelt pair of panties, "What are you thinking of doing, Yishva?"

"Your tales of strength have excited my mind, and the night is cold, isn't there something we could do to warm up, Kolvma?" The older man laughed and the young woman stopped, "What are you laughing at?"

"You just met me, Yishva, and you are a little bit too on edge."

"I don't see what you mean, Kolvma," He rolled his eyes as she pushed himself against his body and purred softly, "You are very impressive," She sat on his legs, facing him. The hunter didn't react to her advances and looked her in the eyes as she tried to get him to accept her very blunt advances.

"Your people were always straightforward and blunt, very rarely being subtle."

"We believe in honesty and clarity, you must know, you lived with my people for some time," He laughed, "Don't mock me, Kolvma."

"I am not mocking you, Yishva, I am just telling you not to throw yourself at my feet in such a way," She sighed and rolled her eyes. She turned to move off of him and felt his arm lightly holding her back, "You gave up already?"

"What?" She looked at him confused, "What do you mean I gave up? You said that you didn't want it."

"Who said that?" The young woman moved back and her expression returned as his hands held her tanned body and his lips pressed against the bottom of her neck, "I haven't had the chance to feel a woman's body in a few years."

"You can feel me all you want, Kolvma, but we will have to leave tomorrow to get to Getulush as soon as possible," He nodded as he looked up at her before going back to feeling her body as the fire crackled behind them. She moaned softly as she let the hunter's hands and arms hold her, "Should we get to bed, Kolvma?" She asked as if she was going to get up but Kolvma stood up with her in his arms. She giggled and her legs wrapped around his waist and her hands moved onto his shoulders as his hands moved to lift her and hold her up by her butt. He lay her down on her back on the pelt covered pile of hay and looked down at her, "You like what you see?"

"I haven't seen much of you yet, Yishva," He reached back and pulled over the blanket as the fire continued to flicker in the center of the home, "Have you ever done this before?"

"Not with a man of your stature, Kolvma," She slid off her panties and removed her bra, revealing her slender body's forms, "How do you like the view now?"

"I think I can work with this," He grinned before moving back down and kissing her neck. She allowed him to feel around her body, simply responding to his actions with soft noises to tell him what he should or shouldn't do.
