Yue Lanchen finally snapped out of his daze and looked at Shi Jin in a daze. "Sis."
He sounded on the verge of tears.
"Lanchen, we'll wait for the police investigation results. Nothing we say now is necessarily true. The reason we're telling you this is to keep you on your toes. There are some things we weren't going to tell you first, but now that you're in a foreign country, it's always good to be extra careful."
Yue Lanchen nodded firmly.
"Cry if you want," Shi Jin said. "I'll lend you my shoulder to lean on."
Fu Xiuyuan pulled him over. "Cry."
He didn't give him a chance to lean on Shi Jin.
Yue Lanchen did not cry. After a while, he finally recovered. "Why did she do that? What was she thinking?"
"Nothing's settled yet, don't think too much about it yet. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding," Shi Jin advised him.
Yue Lanchen didn't think so.
The last time Yue Yu had given him the medicine, he had vaguely sensed it.
