Chapter 13 - Chapter 14

"So tell me Vikki...do you have a boyfriend?" Dawn needed a confidante that time and Victoria was the only person she could trust at the moment. She had yearned to talk to someone who would listen to her all day and she was the perfect ally.

"No." Victoria scoffed sitting on the bed with a thud.

"You're lying." Dawn joined her on the bed. There is no way someone as pretty as Victoria could ever not have a boyfriend. That did not just make any sense.

"No am not." Victoria shrugged.

"Okay...how about a crush?"

"Zayn Malik?"

"A real crush not a celebrity crush." Dawn groaned at Victoria's answer. It was the least she could expect from Vikki's lips.

"No one actually. What's with all these questions?" Victoria couldn't understand the main reason why Dawn pestered her into admitting she liked someone.

"Because...I have a huge mega crush on someone at school."

Victoria finally understood why. Dawn actually wanted her to confess first so that she could make it easier for her to admit her feelings towards someone infront of her.

"Who?" Victoria mouthed not making any sound.

"Danny. He's our school's tennis player. God...he's so hot." Dawn blushed rolling her eyes from left to right. "He's my friend by the way. He lives in Hidden Hills. The son of the famous actor Teddy Wines."

"Really?" Victoria gasped for she knew who Teddy Wines was. Wow...she should totally meet that Danny guy. Being friends with a child's actor wasn't a joke and she considered Dawn to be really lucky.

"Yes. He's so cute. You should see him. Which reminds me you'll be joining my school tomorrow. Besides...I have his pictures. Actually stalked them from Facebook." Dawn said as she reached for her phone on the side table and scrolled through her gallery to show off her handsome crush to Victoria.

"Wow!" Victoria reacted well. "He really is something."

"I know right. And this one over here in the red shirt is his cousin... brother...friend etcetera etcetera. His name is Dwight." Dawn pointed at Dwight on the screen making sure Victoria got their faces right before going to meet them the next day.

Victoria stared at the selfie of the boys but most especially her eyes were fixated at the guy in the red shirt who put his thumb up and in a shallow smirk and she couldn't help but smile herself. Dawn realised that she had been looking at Dwight for some couple minutes and she had a feeling that she had liked him already.

"Heey..." Dawn snapped her out of her trance. "Stop staring for long. My screen could get cracks you know."

"Sorry." Victoria shook her head. "Couldn't help it. He's so charming. I mean...both are." Little did Dawn know that she meant Dwight was charming.

Dawn gave her a smirk completely knowing exactly what she meant by that.

"So..does Danny know that you like him?"

"No." Dawn answered her question right away. "Not yet. I mean I have to be sure if whether he likes me back."

"Of course he likes you." Victoria pat her right shoulder. "Why wouldn't he? I mean you're beautiful."

"Thanks." That statement made Dawn get out of her bed to dressing table and sat on the dressing chair while staring at her face on the walled mirror.

"What's wrong?" Victoria wondered for she thought perhaps she had said something wrong to offend her.

"It's just that...I don't think Danny would ever think of dating a girl like me."

"What do you mean?" Victoria decided to sit upright on the bed. "What makes you say that?"

"You see..."Dawn faced back to take a good glimpse of Victoria's expressions. "We don't belong in the same world. His family is rich and here I am. Why would he date me when he can have hot Hollywood chicks like Maddison Beer?"

"Come sit down." Victoria pat the bed and Dawn groaned as she reluctantly went back to her bed and sat while facing her.

"He will date you despite your social class. It doesn't matter. I mean if he really is into you he will surely make you his and ignore all the odds. I mean take a look at my mum and dad. Our mothers are sisters who obviously don't come from a rich family. But all that changed when my mum met my dad who was still Scotland's Prince. And my dad loved her enough and married her in the end. So don't dismay yourself just because you're not an actor's child." Victoria's words strengthened Dawn at that time making her be brave enough to face her fears.

"Thanks."Dawn leaned her head on her shoulder providing her with protection. After all what's there to fear when you have a future Queen right next to you?

"You know... I'm glad you're here. At least I have someone to talk to."

"Glad too. But don't you have any friends at school?"

Dawn stopped leaning and faced her again saying," I used to have friends but they recently ditched me after finding out that am not as rich as them."

"What do you mean?" Victoria scoffed.

"The school I go to is no ordinary school. It's a school of the wealthy... so most of them like Danny and Dwight belong to a high social status then there's few students like me who are sponsored by the school. So I lied to them about my life and they recently did a research on me and found out the truth so no one talks to me except Danny."

"Aww...that's so sad." Victoria empathized with her.

"Very." Dawn added.

"But your princess is here now. So don't feel alone." Victoria smiled as she spread her arms and Dawn leaned in for the hug.
