Eating with satisfaction popsicles with water and fruits, Ryuji and Jun were sitting under the covered entrance of the house. The coolness of the liquid was a relief to the two boys, who were sweating profusely in the heat. This extended break was ideal in Ryuji's eyes, although he would have to resume packing his things sooner or later if he didn't want to be late. His parents kept going back and forth with boxes or medium-sized items that they couldn't fit into boxes, and Ryuji felt a little guilty for not helping them at the moment.
Sure, his parents had told him to take his time, and at the time it had seemed okay; but seeing them continually walk behind them in the hallway made it harder to ignore them.
"So, are you going to go live in a big city?" Jun asked as he munched on the rest of his eskimo.
"Mhh mhh," Ryuji said, his popsicle in his mouth. "But Toyohashi is still the countryside to me..."
