The next day, Hana didn't speak to anyone, not even to Ryuji. He didn't come to talk to her anymore, and only sometimes sent her embarrassed smiles. A rejected confession and the problem with the group of girls must have been the cause; but Hana found this situation rather pleasant. She didn't have to stay after school and listen to Ryuji's stories anymore, and only time would tell if she would come to regret those attempts at interaction.
However, if anything else had changed slightly since the day before, it was also the attitude of the people in her class. As she walked into the classroom, the majority of eyes had been on her, before quickly turning away. She wasn't sure what the cause was, but it didn't seem so bad: at least people would leave her alone.
