The group of girls that had just arrived looked ready to jump on Hana, given the daggers their eyes were throwing; and Hana was sure they probably would have jumped on her, if it weren't for the intervention of another girl in their class.
A high school girl with long hair and a very elegant face had quickly joined them, and after talking to them for a few seconds, the whole group had sat down at two tables nearby to watch Hana and Ryuji without saying anything.
Of all the girls who had gathered in the library to spy on them with murderous looks, Hana didn't know any of them personally. She recognized some who were in the same class as her, but to whom she had never spoken. She could see them snickering among themselves, or hear them openly mocking other students - including her - but she couldn't understand what could have happened to make all these girls resent her. Had she done something wrong without knowing it?
