Once out of the break room, Hana, Ren, Yuuto and Mari returned to their seats. Fortunately, the atmosphere on the ninth floor hadn't changed that much. Then the lunch break came, and the employees started to go out or to the cafeteria for lunch. In turn, Hana and her colleagues headed to the first floor to eat together; witnessing a rather peculiar scene.
Three employees from their department were facing four, maybe five employees from other departments. There seemed to be a certain air of defiance in their eyes, and their postures also indicated that an open conflict was underway.
"You've got a lot of nerve, daring to come out and show yourself when your own Director is making a mess of things," scoffed one of the employees across from them.
"Until proven otherwise, he's our Director, and as such, he does whatever he wants without asking our opinion," a young woman with curly hair confidently replied.
