The rest of the day had passed very slowly in Hana's eyes, the main cause of this feeling being the anxiety that the young woman felt in the presence or absence of Hosoda Chiho.
During all this time, the other young woman had strictly done her job, and had not deigned to engage in conversation with Hana at all, or even to give her a glance. Nor had Chiho explained anything further since they left Marline, leaving her colleague in confusion even when the latter was following her closely. Then, she had left her alone again, as if this was completely normal.
Because of this passive hostility, Hana had immediately felt that she was not welcome and that she was seen more as a burden than as someone useful. This had the effect of testing her mentally and making her a little more tired than usual.
