Chapter 12 - Lightning Heaven Clan [3]

"You might need a medic first"

Su Yang shook his head.

"Know let me hear you out first. ON top of that I don't have any money on me"

'Haha, he is as broke as me' Yang Ding thought as he laughed within himself.

Unlike the old man's energy Yang Ding's energy isn't strong enough for it to aid in his recovery so it wasn't like he could do anything in this situation. But, even if he could he would have avoided it unless there was an absolute necessity.

"So what do you want my help with?" Su Yang asked.

Yang Ding had thought about it beforehand how he is going to explain things to this guy.

"I have a task to complete. My master has asked me to make virtuous deeds to fruition. And I have to do that"

Then he took a deep breath and continued.

"But I have little to no idea what these virtuous deeds entail. That's why I must ask you for help as you claim to be a virtuous one yourself!"

Su Yang nodded.

"Your master must be a great person but he has taken in a weird disciple"

"Great master my a*s and how dare you to call me weird you punny kid!"

Somehow Yang Ding wasn't able to hold back his anger.

"I didn't want to shun you in any way. If I have hurt you I must apologize" said Su Yang

"Any way you need my help don't you?" he asked.

"I do but I am having doubts now about you"

Yang Ding nodded.

"Hmm if you say that," Su Yang said, "But I honestly I don't know why would someone need help with something so simple as that"

"I f*cking do! I tried for days trying to do something that will please its eyes, but nothing worked"

"It?"

"'His' I mean" Yang Ding immediately formed a reply.

"I see, come with me then"

Yang Ding followed behind him wondering what might be the case.

He felt no fear from the measly boy.

'At least he can be no threat to me no matter how weakened I am' Yang Ding thought.

Both of them walked through the market- place.

A thriving one.

The marketplace had all forms of people. Some were sellers, some were buyers. From the corner of his eye, Yang Ding also noticed the presence of an auction shop. He has never been to this part of the country before so all of this was kinda new to him although they didn't faze him a bit.

After walking for some time he was annoyed by the whole situation. Why was he following after a kid anyway?

"Oy! Where are you taking me?"

Su Yang turned around to reply.

"Have a little patience brother Ding Yang, we are almost there"

"I hope so if you show me something funny you will not go unscathed"

As it is Yang Ding was having difficulty walking with his missing leg. And now for some stupid reason, he has latched onto a brat.

*Tap* *tap* *tap*

Every time he walked the tapping sound of his sword resonated.

Su Yang has gone back to walking normally.

At the next corner, he turned by a lane with Yang Ding following him.

"A stinky lane that popped up from time to time within civilization. Even the marketplace wasn't rid of such infestation" Yang Ding claimed.

To this Su Yang sighed.

"I wonder why your master picked you as a disciple of all people"

"You wanna pick a fight!" Yang Ding roared.

"To be honest I doubt you can fight. But even if you do, I don't care if you beat me up or not, my virtues and values would never change"

Yang Ding stopped.

Took a deep breath

He was reminded again of why he needed this Su Yang in the first place.

He needs to gain shop points.

And then restore his lost leg.

He can deal with people like Su Yang later.

"Okay fine. Have we reached yet"

"We have" he continued, "I believe that if you wish to please your master. You have to just help these people"

Su Yang pointed at a poverty-stricken family. With no clothes to wear and no food on their plate. Just rags have found their way to make a roof over their head.

"Them?"

Among the cultivation world, these people also exist.

A group of people who have no resources to even do the first stage of bone-strengthening. Their lives are reduced to slaves doing cleaning work at the different sects.

And those who are banished or crippled enough that they can't work, live in rags like this.

"Why should I help them?"

"Charity is a virtue. By helping them you will be pleasing your master thereby completing your mission. Am I wrong?" he continued, "I would have helped them myself if I could… with food at least but as you can see I am already broke"

"But!"

"It is a win-win situation don't you think? You get your mission, they get some help and I get my satisfaction..."

"Hmm… I wanted to disagree but you do have a point there"

Yang Ding nodded.

"But..."

"But?"

"You still have to help me further with procuring the money to help them with"

"Me? Oh no no… I am a weak disciple. I can't do anything"

Yang Ding shakes his head.

"No, it has to be you. I can't trust anyone else here"

'At least he is trustworthy as long as I don't do something evil in his eyes

"But first... Here"

Yang Ding passed him a pouch.

"This is?"

"Check"

Su Yang checked its contents. There were a bunch of monster cores in it.

"Sell it and bring back whatever money you get. We will use that as a capital"

"Capital?"

"Don't parrot me just do what I say"

"Okay"

Su Yang ran back to the marketplace.

Yang Ding stalked him behind just in case he might be thinking of running away with the monster cores.
