I smile while looking at Isabella eating in my study while waiting for Fabio to bring us the plates. I make a toast to Isabella's achievement. I quickly send Uncle Pete a text message to start getting my plans in order for tonight. I enquire about Isabella's artwork when it is going up for sale. Uncle Pete finally agrees to the meeting. Isabella thanks me for celebrating her achievements, as only her mother and I are happy about her future.
I shake my head in disbelief at what I am hearing from her mouth. I walk to her and ask;
"Sometimes, I do not understand your father at all. How can he not be happy about your future? It is a great opportunity and an impressive achievement, to say the least."
She starts to blush as she says;
"Thank you, Ricky. It means a lot to hear you say that."
"Come, we can talk more in the car on your way to your friend."
