"What are you doing here?" Keiko quickly asked.
Thankfully, her grandmother didn't bother to waste time with pleasantries.
"I'm here to speak to Asahi for a moment. Come along," she told the younger girl. Asahi walked past Keiko then, toward the sound of her grandmother's voice. Keiko had half a mind to stop her and ask for an actual explanation, but she held back.
Asahi then followed her grandmother out of the building while Keiko scowled in their direction.
"The way you're looking at her, if someone told me you two weren't actually family, I might believe it," Yua said. Keiko turned and found her with a cheeky smile, looking back at her.
"..." Keiko remained silent for a few minutes before she then said, "do I have to accept her as my 'family' just because we're related?"
"Maybe, maybe not," Yua shrugged. "Questions like that are a bit too big for me. I just swing my sword around and call it a day, you know?"
