With only a couple of more days to go before the battle began, there was a new sort of tension in the air as the soldiers trained. The feeling of knowing that the moment of truth was almost upon them. This served to give each of the soldiers and volunteers in that courtyard a sense of urgency as their weapons clashed, and they practiced various strategies and techniques. Curiously, however, that feeling in the air hadn't quite reached the new Zayama recruits.
Yua appeared to be very gifted in the art of breaking tension.
"Ohhh, okay. So, we're not totally fucked then?" Yua asked in response to Keiko as she described what fighting a demon was like.
"Not necessarily," she confirmed for her as the others listened in as well, "but we'll need to make sure we're focused and ready for whatever may happen."
