As the morning arrived, Kaori, Ash, and Keiko continued down the road. As per Kaori's request, they hadn't gone to sleep last night just in case the lost time meant that the guards would be further endangered. Of course, that was if they ran with the assumption that the soldiers wouldn't be hostile, which Kaori fervently hoped wouldn't be the case.
You're trapped between Amber and Jade, with a demon rift right next to you, Kaori told them in her thoughts as she walked with Keiko and Ash at her sides. Don't do anything stupid, please.
"Hm," Ash hummed as she looked down, keeping her eyes and head low. "We should be coming up on them, shouldn't we?" She asked.
"Satsuhiro said it would take a day, and it's been almost a day," Keiko nodded. "We should stay focused. If they're in danger, or if they aren't, regardless, we'll want to be ready."
